It is difficult to imagine the number of hands a single dollar bill may pass through in its lifetime. As a result, there are probably hundreds of thousands of bills that have passed through the hands of someone with an infectious disease. Could a disease spread via currency?

currency can spread infectious disease (ie viruses and bacteria) but that being said nearly ANYTHING can spread infectious diseases so there is no need to avoid currency.

I don't have a source, but anyone who knows anything about diseases will tell you that any disease one may have, can be spread through sharing needles. Specifically: HIV AIDS Hepatitis (all of them) Syphilis Flu There are also diseases one can get from reusing needles that haven't been shared, but used by the same person more than once. Most of them stem from the dirtiness of the needle and include infections from bacteria and other microbes.

yes! 100% yes!
and to think those who do drugs by rolling their pot up in them and snorting from them.....snorting is a good way to get hepatitis c as well as other diseases. hcv is blood to blood so if a person who is doing drugs is snorting cocaine out of a dollar bill, and that dollar bill has blood on it from 18 or less days, and they are bleeding in the nose from their habit, they can get hcv!

colds, flu and other viruses can be passed by handling money and not washing of the hands properly!

Wow, I didn't know you could snort pot! I've been out of it for a while I guess..... geez louise. Anyway, there are germs on everything so try not to touch your face, mouth, eyes, lips until you've washed your hands with warm water and soap. And also don't put things in your nose, like money.

Yet another good reason for frequent hand washing, don't you agree?
