You should wait at least one to three hours depending how large the meal is. During the digestion process, the blood goes to the digestive organs and exercising after eating will slow your digestion and tax the body since the blood will have to flow both to the muscles and the digestion organs.
Make sure you eat after exercises to refuel your energy stores with a high-carbohydrate, low-fat meal again
Besides If you excerise after you eat, you might get sick or even vomit. So it is best to wait.

I do not believe that your body will burn the carbs if you exercise right after you eat. Your body has not had a chance to break down the food yet. Also you should not exercise right after a meal because your body is using energy to break down the food and that will take away from energy you have to workout. But if it is the only time you can workout, that is better than not at all. It depends on the kind of exercising that you do whether you could burn the fat or the carbs an hour after eating.

Wait until half an hour after you've eaten to exercise, you're body needs to absorb the food first. Its not a good idea to exercise straight after you have eaten. If you want to lose weight, then go swimming or running once EVERYDAY. seriously. Running and swimming are amazing all -over workouts, and they convert existing fat to muscle! Good luck! =P

it's not a good idea to exercise for a couple of hours after eating. you need blood to digest food and also to nourish your muscles. carbs are not part of a person's body. they change to fat or muscle or other tissues. exercise before you eat to burn fatty tissue, then eat after. I exercise before breakfast. just drink something to make sure you're hydrated.

exersize BEFORE a meal, not after....this speeds up your metabolism, increasing the rate your food is digested.
good luck!
