Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:
" 'He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 'Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test. Mathew 4:7.

Yes. He does not protect you from your own stupidity. You are liable for the natural consequences of your choices. We learn by the mistakes that we make. Our suffering teaches us to make better choices. Then when bad things happen to good people, it is often the result of somebody else making a bad choice and the good person gets caught in the results of that choice. The responsible party will have to answer to God for hurting the innocent party. The third category is when our lives are stepped on by evil parties and we become the victims of intentional harm. Again, this tests our resolve to be obedient to what is right and the perpetrators of the evil will have to answer to God for their actions. Hopefully, we can make them answer to man's justice as well.

"let" you? lol
He gave you a brain so that you can comprehend the meaning of the law of gravity and the consequences of such an action, He gave you a body that is naturally resistant to death-like manuevers, He gave you a spirit with a determination to live. And He gave you His words, in which I'm sure there exists somewhere that you should NOT jump off any building.
How is that "let"?

God gives you brains so that you will know better than to step off the building in the first place. If you go ahead and step off, then you deserve what you get. This is my way of answering, hope it helps.

Once upon a time there was a preacher who live by a river. One day a truck of men came by and said "get in the dam is going to break, you'll drown!" but the preacher said "I have faith in gawd" and so the men in the truck drove on. The river started to rise and was 3 feet deep and a man in a boat came by the preacher and said "The damn has busted, get in!" and the preacher said " go on your way, I have Faith in gawd". And the water got higher and the man got onto his roof and a helicopter came by and the pilot said, "get in the helicopter and be safe". But the preacher said " I have faith in gawd". and so the rivers rose and the preacher drowned!
When the preacher got to heaven GAWD stood there waiting on him and the preacher fell to his knees and asked" why have you taken me from my friends and family?" and Gawd said, "I sent a truck, a boat and a helicopter, oy vay! what more did you want, foolish man?!"

Yes- because a loving God gave you free will and you obviously made the choice to hurt yourself. There are always consequences (whether good or bad) to our actions.

Isn't the option that He suspend the laws of nature and physics despite your knowledge and acceptance of those very rules just to save you? Even man's law states that ignorance of the law is not excusable.

Hard to say. That depends on what God sees in your furture. If He can use you for good at some point in the future, rest assured He'll save you. If all He sees is your insisitance on asking these kinds of questions ... SPLAT!
