I just ate a package of hostess cupcakes at about 9 cst this morning. After I ate them I noticed the expiration date on the package. It was May 31st. I was just wondering if anything could really happen to me because I am feeling kind of woozy and i want to know if it is just in my head, or the cupcakes.

That is just in your head. Have you ever seen the Bill Nye the Science Guy show? Twinkies have a shelf life of 7 years! The only reason they have a reasonable expiration date on them is to satisfy FDA regulations.

Nothing you are feeling now Is from the cupcakes. They put that expiration date on their because that lets the buyer know the sell out date. They are considered ''fresh'' till that date. You are safe to eat that food pasted the date on the box. You may be feeling woozy because your sugar is high. Try eating a bite of protein then laying down. You will be find.

It's just in your head. Hostess cupcakes last so long, you could probably have eaten them a year from now and still be fine.

Those things have enough chemicals and preservatives in them to last forever. Its more likely that same garbage making you feel bad, more so the expiration date. I couldnt eat one of those things if I was starving and thats all there was. Yuck

I don't think you're in danger. Those things have so many preservatives in them that they should last well beyond the expiration date. So don't worry, be happy :)

probably just in your head. if there was something seriously wrong with them, you'd be sick as a dog before you ate the first one completely.
