If you are a parent, single, college student? Would you pay to have your groceries sent to your home or business if it cost like 10 dollars extra for the first 10 miles away from the grocery store?

I would love that, can you please put them away for me too?

I think this is an awesome idea! I've thought about this myself too because EVERYONE hates going to the grocery store! And EVERYONE needs groceries. But, there is a down side, the way the economy is, people are more willing to suffer through ordeals like that to save a buck.Your best market would probably be the elderly. I know that I wouldn't pay anyone to go get my groceries for me. But that's cause I'm 23. P.S. 10 bucks to bring in the groceries and put them away is kinda steep, considering it only takes a few minutes to do. Maybe 5 would be a better deal. Keep thinking about it, and I'm sure you'll find your niche.

A few grocery stores around here tried that. There just really wasn't much of a market I guess. So many people just stopped on the way home. I'm sure they did deliver to some that are unable to travel but it just wasn't enough to fund the service.

Personally I would not. I work at a grocery store and we do have that service. The majority of those customers are elderly and cannot get to the store. I would prefer to pick out produce and meat myself.

I think most grocery stores have tried that and it didn't work out. I guess if you aren't looking to make a lot of money and can find someone elderly for example then it could work.

a lot of people here in the uk do that. i don't have a car,and i order cleaning stuff/washing detergent etc online about twice a year. i get all the heavy stuff in bulk, and it lasts for months. otherwise i would probably end up getting a taxi anyway!. and i am sure it is cheaper to buy it all in bulk, than small items every week or so.

We do! $10 bucks for pounds of stuff is excellent when I don't feel like doing errands. We get delivery about once a week. Gotta love Safeway.
