The shot in the mouth may hurt a bit but it really depends on the dentist. My dentist shakes my cheek as he is injecting it and I have no pain when shots are given anymore. T he feeling in the cavity part will be painless as far as my experience goes. After words watch out for that tooth when your eating something, it will be sore for a few days depending how deep the cavity was.

They won't give you gas for a cavity. Most likely they will give you a shot of something, like Novacane (spelling?). The shot hurts more than the drilling after that. They will put the shot right around the area they will be working. Be ready to drool though. Since the area is numb, when you are done, you will drool until you regain feeling. Good luck!

You can either get the gas (which knocks you out furing the filling) or you can have the area numbed. I had mine numbed. it doesn't hurt except for the drill which tingles but it doesn't last that long. Usually the dentist will tell you to raise one of your hands if you want them to stop. They're very sensitive to how you feel. Its not fun exactly but it's not painful either. Your tooth does hurt a couple hours after the numbness wears off.

They won't use gas for a filling. Novocaine works great, you won't feel a thing. The only hassle is sitting there with your mouth open for 20 minutes, but that's nothing, really.

No. They knock you out. They also numb you. You can't feel anything. Your cheek will be numb too and you'll be like, "Look! I can hit my cheek and not feel a freaking thing!" Then, in an hour it will wear off and your cheek will hurt like hell; so, just don't hit your cheek. Nothing will hurt if you don't hit the cheek. Lol. Seriously you'll be fine.

doesn't hurt but I remember feeling 'pressure' which wasn't pleasurable. After awhile, you wanna get out the room. But it's cool now they have a TV on for you to watch while they are working on you lol.

If they numb your mouth you wont feel a thing. Imagine if you put your bare foot in the snow for 10 minutes & then someone tickled it. You wouldnt feel anything. Its pretty much the same.
