Ahhh, another woman trying to change a man into what she needs instead of loving him for who he is.
Do yourself and the guy a big favor and go find somebody you don't have to renovate or "help grow up".

Hmm, well I've never been in this situation myself but I've seen it happen to friends. A relationship is a two-way thing and it's certainly not very fair for you to be putting in all that effort for him when he does nothing in return! Friends are really important so if he's always too busy with his friends I think you should get together with your friends more and spend less time with him and then maybe he'll know how it feels. Alternatively you could try getting to know his friends a bit better and your boyfriend could get to know yours better too. I think you should definitely try having another talk with him and let him know how serious you are and how big an issue it is. Take a break from him if you need to! If all else fails then I'm afraid the best option would be to break up with him and find someone who's worth your time. Best of luck honey!

I don't think he's ready for a commited relationship right now. By no means am I suggesting a break-up, just depends on how long you're willing to wait. He's having fun with his friends and not ready to 'settle down'. Assuming you're both still young, ease up and try to have some fun yourself.

He's not in the same place emotionally that you are. Everyone is different. I'm sure he loves you in his way. If you want to hang in there and hope that he'll change, it's your prerogative. However, if you are not fulfilled, why waste your time and his? He wants to play with his friends and you want a meaningful relationship. I say distance yourself for a while and see what happens.

"why are men so hard headed"
now, dont make generalizations, or i'll claim all women including you and especially you are feeble losers that need to turn to yahoo answers to get intimate problems solved :D
if you love someone, you must respect their values, and watch closely for those tiny details that he might convey to you. it is true, some people insist that their friends and mates will, shall and must remain as they have been, you should also realize, just because there is less room for love, that the love itself isnt strong, and that he doesnt love you.
mention to him (hint) you need more attention or tell him that you love him, ask him for honest answers, because without them you can only get so far.

Both sexes are hardheaded. It's INDIVIDUALS, not either gender. Trust me.
Don't blame all men for a poor choice you made in companionship.
