Here is what I do before going to bed, wihtout the honey......
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften & remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo & condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

If you mean the straightening irons, yes, they do damage hair. The implement itself is not the problem, but the people that use them. Most do not know how to use them correctly, and overheat their hair, or do it when the hair is not completely dry. Moisture in the hair when heated will create steam and "explode" the hair on the inside and then in a few months, after you've forgotten what you have done, will the hair come apart and you don't know why. Some of the heat protection products may work a bit, but proper use of the irons is what you need to do. Remember that once the damage is done, you cannot repair it. Everything works. But you need to use the right tool in the right way to get the results you want. Using the wrong tool in the wrong way on the wrong hair will always create a mess.

Being a Hairstylist, I would recommend Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner from Redken. Since your hair is damaged you need to put protein back in your hair. Once you are done with those bottles, I would recommend Fresh Curls by Redken. It is formulated for Curly girls and it works. I hope this helps.

I like Bio Tech - sold in salons, and some high end stores.....please remember to get your ends trimmed every four weeks, this will make your hair grow faster, and you will slowly get back to healthy hair. Also - don't rinse your conditioner out all they way.....check your water - is it hard water? This leaves too many minerals, etc......There is an excellent shower head out there that has a water softener built in. I use it - it was about 30 bucks, but comes with a free lifetime supply of water softener.

ok... i got this one!!
the BEST and i meanBEST! to use onyour hair is a product called pureology nano works!! i bleach my hair often and it is really dry and hay-like sometimes... i use this shampoo and conditioner, and its a smooth as a childs hair!! it is quite pricey, but its worth it if you truly have damaged hair...and its not something you would use everyday. use it for a week straight... then just use it once a week.
it cost about $50 for shampoo and another $50 for the conditioner... but i nkow you can find itcheaper on ebay.. youll prolly find the shampoo and conditioner for around $75 on ebay... hope this helps!!

my grandmother dyes her hair blond, ALOT. and she swears by mayo. yes the condiment. and if you think about it its a good and cheap way to do it. mayos main thing is eggs which has proven to be very good for shine and and moisturizer for hair. plus it also works for lice. it got rid of my sisters! but yeah put mayo in your hair let it sit for 15-30 minutes depending on damage and rinse. wait 10 minutes and wash your hair with your normal shampoo and conditioner to get rid of anything you may have missed when rinsing. depending on damage you may have to do it twice but wait a day to do it again.
