Keep praying but always be careful how you pray and exactly what you are praying for. It is perhaps best to always pray that Gods will be done in your lives rather than for specifics....if your fiance is meant to get the job he will...if not then please accept that it is not part of Gods plan for you and He has something much more suitable or better in mind already.
God always helps us but not always in the way we expect.......a friend of mine once prayed for patience and for a whole year after that ...everything in his and his family life seemed to be going wrong......however...things got better and he realised one day how much more patient he had become because of the experience he had.......God had answered his prayer.
Be patient...don't expect everything to drop into your laps...God is working...and working for you not against you.
Take care and God Bless. Mike.

I read the answers here and wonder...how many ways can one have it?
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Either that's true, or is isn't. Seems like the promise is there...not, seek and you'll get what you deserve, ask and you'll be offered something that will be even better, knock and a different door will open. This is specific, about as specific as things get in the Bible. Seek and you'll find it. Ask and it will be given to you. Knock and the door you are knocking on will open. This seems a simple concept, actually.
I don't know the answer, but I do know that I totally understand the question. Sometimes you can look back and think an unanswered prayer was a good thing...but i have several that I will never feel that way about...and I have to wonder at my faith.

There are so many variables that I don't know about so I think it's best for you to get alone with the Lord or, better, for your fiance to get alone with the Lord and ask Him why he is not getting this new job.
I also know that many times, I have to fast to get my prayers heard on high. I would suggest you try a 1- 3 day fast (full or partial), if you can handle it.(Remember to wash your face, anoint your head with oil when you commit your fast to the Lord-Matthew 6:17)NIV. During this time, it would also be helpful to spend time praising the Lord, praying for others who also need a job change and reading up on prosperity Scriptures. Also Isaiah 58.
May the Lord bless you both!

Well, God does WANT to help you, that's a given. But sometimes what we want doesn't really help us, so He has to give us what we need.
I know it's hard to believe right now, but someday you will look back and see that God needed your fiance to be in this job at this time for a particular reason. Maybe for himself, maybe for you, maybe for somebody else entirely. When the time is right, the next job will be there.

Well your God didn't give a tuppenny damn about hundreds of thousand of people caught up in the Tsunami, Hurricane Katrine or various earthquakes all over the world.
But then, this God destroyed most of the life on earth (according to the Bible) before he sent the Flood. . he encouraged Joshua to kill on the people in Jericho. . he really is quite horrid. . ask the Midianites.
Go to the graveyard of any old British church and look at the gravestones. . how many died young. .women in particular (childbirth?) do you think they were'n't prayed for?
Why on earth do you think that this imaginary figure can have any effect whatsoever on your fiance's life.
In the end it is down to him, he has to realise this and so do you.

Sometimes God stretches us so that we grow in Faith.
Moses was in the wilderness for 40 years and never lost Faith.
Even when Christ was about to die he asked God to take it away but then He said, Your Will Father, not mine.
There are so many stories in the Bible that explain how others went through so much more than us.
I know that doesn't change your situation but I have been threw so many different things in life and God has brought me through them all!
Having said that I shall pray for you and your husband right now.
Be Blessed

The prevention could mean that it's not God's will for it to go ahead, wait on God and when the time is right he will make a way for you. Keep praying.
God bless x

Job asked a similar question, God aswer with over a hundred question. God helps you and all of us more than we notice, but maybe not the way we want Him to though... Who are we that we may question the Creator of the universe, when He is doing His will? Maybe He is protesting your husband from something...

Maybe God has a better idea or a different plan or a different career in mind that would be way better. Keep praying for His will and sooner or later you will know that His plans are perfect.

Don't look at it that way. There's another plan for you. Just because you don't get what you want, when you want doesn't mean that better things aren't coming along later.
Or, perhaps, there are lessons the two of you need to learn at this stage of your life.
Don't give up the faith, simply trust that God is always there.
