I'm afraid that's were our culture has arrived. You're right, there are thousands of systems of belief out there. Unfortunately however, the majority belong to one of these two groups.
The reality is that people don't like to think for themselves, so they prefer to be led. Those who are hardcore Christians are led by tradition and a church whilst those who are hardcore Atheist are led by science and the state. Neither search for truth on their own and simply believe what they're taught.
This is a perfect example of the herd mentality held by so many people. It's simply easier to be a sheep than a lion.
Therefore, the majority of the population are sheep, and so here the majority are sheep.

I agree
I'm neither; I'm Wiccan and the sad thing is a lot of questions about Wicca/Paganism/etc. end up in other sections for whatever reason. I think most people feel threatened by all the Christian bias here...all of these over extremist Christians who would sooner damn someone to "hell" than consider what they're saying or that they have a right to their own opinion (free will?).

True. I guess the atheists and christians just make themselves more known or verbal. I wish some of the "others" would speak up more because I don't know all the different theists or different kinds of atheists or pagans, witches etc. etc. etc.

How about a Pagan Evolutionary Atheist?
Absence of deities, not religion. :) And Pagan is about as accepting of other people's views as you can get.

I am skeptic and I like being in this phase since I could love not anything greater than forged evidence that anything does exist. if it is ghosts, or with no trouble power handed on from souls. the complete area fascinates me.

Yes, we need more moderation and understanding. Religion is the cause behind most of the wars and hatred on the planet, so it is understandable that some would be here.
