WE went on the Freedom last November. Its a great ship. There is a pool area just for kids that has water cannons and a small lazy river and splash pools. Then you can go ice skating; and there is a great ice show too. Then there is the rock climbing wall and then they have the RC exclusive, the Flow Rider, where you can surf on ship on a boogie board. It works great too. There is stadium seating around the flow rider so people can watch. There is a regulation sided basketball court and also a mini-golf area. Then they have an arcade with a bunch of video/arcade games. You can get pizza all day and night on main street which is in the center of the ship.

The best time will be had when you get to the RC private island on Labadee. Its a huge island with several beaches. You can pay $5. and play in a special water park in the ocean all day. Or snorkel, scuba, or just swim. They will bring food from the ship onto the island for an all day beach party.

Pack your swim wear, sun screen, a cap, sun glasses, lotions, and take your scuba stuff and your boogie board if you have them.

I was just on the Freedom of the Seas last week doing the Western Caribbean itinerary. This ship is big and there are only two sea days. Don't try to do it all, there is not enough time.

The teen area (the living room and fuel) is great. I do not have my pictures posted yet, or I would supply links to them for you.

The Flowrider and rock climbing is very popular. If you want to do either you will need a parent to sign a waiver and I suggest you arrive at least 15 minutes early. There is plenty of room for ice skating and mini golf, so you don't have to be in such a rush for either of those two activities.

Your first port is Labadee. The zip line is very popular. If you want to do that, sign up early (I think you will need a parent to sign a waiver also). Otherwise, Labadee is a very relaxing beach day. Get on an early tender, because by mid morning the line to the tender boats starts on deck six and works its way down to the first deck.

The next stop is Ocho Rios. The street vendors can be very pushy. Keep your hands in your pockets and you should be okay. Don't go around Ocho Rios without your parents. Try the jerk chicken, it is great. Dunn's River Falls was a lot of fun. Buy only one CD and make copies for anyone else that wants one. We bought two and only received one, so I have to copy it for my sister and my brother-in-law's sister.

The next stop is Grand Cayman (another tender port). Stingray City is great. I highly recommend it.

The last stop is Cozumel. I swam with a dolphin and seal when I was here in August 2004. Last week we went on a clear kayak and snorkel tour which was fun.

Try to keep your room as organized as possible and dont bring alot of plug in stuff and if you do bring an extra power strip. Make sure you dont overpack, put the luggage underneath your bed, if you go to Grand Cayman don't bring back anything turtle as its illegal. Also I would be very very careful in Jamaica as they have had some problems their recently. Just buy some cute t shirts or some jewelry and you'll look fab without spending alot. So you basically know the drill and theirs that new Flow Rider, so you might want to try that out.
