But no Jews are permitted in the neighboring Muslim land of Jordan.

Yes, it's true. They're called Arab Israelis. There are many Muslims in the Israeli government, as well. (Called the Knesset). They are Israeli citizens. Something I find interesting is that in Jordan, Jews aren't allowed to become citizens.

And by the way, the Palestinians never owned the land. Palestine was a perpetual colony, first a colony of the Ottoman Empire, then a colony of Britain, then the UN, finally it became a state in 1948. Before then it was simply not a state.

Of course Israel has a Muslim population.
According to Wikipedia, Among Arab Israelis, 82.6% were Muslim, 8.8% were Christian and 8.4% were Druze. There is also a small community of Ahmadi Muslims in the country.

There are Muslims living in towns like Acre, Haifa, Jaffa, and in numerous villages in Israel. They enjoy the right all Israeli citizens have. They do get preference when it comes to obtaining college scholarships, as they are considered a minority. Israeli Arabs have also been elected to the Knesset (Israeli parliament), become journalist, attorneys, doctors, accountants, and one Miss Israel:)

Sure they do, and they have elected Muslim Palestinians sitting in their Parliament.

The Turks (Europeans) controlled the area until losing it to the Allies in WWI, when the entire ME region was carved up. The Palestinian region, under British control, was earmarked for a Jewish homeland before WW2, under the Balfour Declaration. After WW2, the UN established that Jews and Arabs could establish seperate countries, but the Arabs didn't want the Jews in their midst, and attempted to overthrow the newly formed state of Israel. They lost, and here we are.

Fact

To Khalid E Israel didn't take it by force. The Allied forces took it and gave it to the Jews.

Get over it! You weren't even alive when it happened so shut up. The Jews have the same rights to be there that muslims do...you're lucky we fought and gave the Jews the land instead of letting the Germans kill all the muslims, and they're even more lucky we haven't come to finish the job for them!!!

Would you accept that other people share your house with you, I doubt it? and just to let you know, muslims ,christians and jews used to live safely in Palestine. But Israel changed all that, I won't tell you how 'cos you should figure it out by your self ,ask people and don't believe the media.

The Palestinians owned the land first. After WWII it was given to the Jews to start their own nation (without the consent of the Palestinians). Both sides consider the land "holy" and are unwilling to part with it.

That's the mideast conflict, in a nutshell.

It will never end.
