Frozen vegetables have less nutritional benefits than fresh veggies. You're right. But only if the vegetables are actually FRESH. Yahoo health... only if the source is reputable should you believe it. I haven't looked at it or been on yahoo long enough to know.

Fresh is always better but, if the veggies are overcooked, much of the nutrient content is lost. Today, steamed veggies are the choice because they aren't soggy but, are crisp. Steaming veggies will provide much of the nutrients. Canned veggies are saturated with sodium( salt) and alot of the nutrients that would be present, are lost.Depending on the season, it's best to purchase frozen veggies vs. canned. Basically, it comes down to the cooking process of fresh veggies !! I hope that this clarifies your question.

It depends on if the veggies are from your own garden or from grocery store. Most veggies are picked practically green so they wont rot before they hit the shelves.Whereas if its grown in the garden,it stays on the vine till ripe.If i cant get fresh, frozen is the next best to eat.And if the veggies or fruit are sun-ripened,they have more nutritional value.

Fresh is always best. Frozen vegetables never even taste the same and their consistency changes from the freezing. I don't think you can beat a steamed fresh vegetable.

it really depends on how they were processed.
frozen veggies are usually groun intil they are at their peak of freshness then flash frozen an packaged...
fresh veggies at the grocery store are usually picked early and shipped to the stores.
it is better nutritionally for them to stay 'on the vine' until they are the freshest they can be, but that isn't possuible then they have to travel to stores...they'd be overripe and start rotting too fast to sell....
the best to get are farm/orchard direct...(freshest)
the worst are canned because they are so processed.

When you buy frozen or canned veggies, you're buying them at their ripest. which in turn guarantees you the most vitamins and minerals. When you buy fresh, it has to be picked, and then travel from where ever it comes from (Ecuador, California, Georgia, Mexico..) and then stocked in the store. You're not exactly getting it "fresh", and at it's peak.
