i am currently writing a fictional novel, a large part of the story takes place inside the statue of liberty. if possible, could i get a detailed map of all areas publicly available? (it would also be helpfull to know if there are any custodian/maintainance closets.) thank you!

You are going to have to contact the US Park Police. Tell them you're writing a novel and I'm sure they will be glad to help you as long as you give them credit. By the way, the iron staircase leading to the crown is very narrow.

If it's a fictional novel, you could probably just make it up. I don't think too many people know detailed ins and outs of the statue of liberty. If you are looking for things that are publicly available, I don't think that custodian and maintenance closets are part of that.
