Seriously, WHY can't I eat a slice of pizza for breakfast? It's good enough for lunch or dinner, right? Plus it has ten times the amount of protein than some cereal or waffles has, and will probably give me a lot more energy than "traditional" breakfast food will. What's so wrong with eating dinner leftovers for breakfast? Who came up with the rule that we HAVE to drink smoothies or eat oatmeal and bacon for breakfast??

I don't see why anyone would be surprised I feed myself and my boys pizza for breakfast anything they want and I make pancakes for dinner

At the vastly antique age of 51, this is a problem that I have dealt with since I was a lad.

My mother believed that any child going off to school without a bellyful of oatmeal, cream of wheat or other boiled glop was an unfit parent and should be horsewhipped. Soft boiled eggs, skinny bacon (50%fat, 50%salt) and other "traditional" fare made me hate mornings.

Give me some leftover spaghetti! A grilled cheese sandwich and some vegetable soup! What's wrong with any of these things? Nothing.

As near as I can figure, some people just flip when unfamiliar smells hit them first thing in the morning. I recall my sister gagging convulsively at my morning bowl of shrimp and pasta with sundried tomatoes... I don't know why.

I say, if it appeals to you, go for it!

Best wishes!

Word! Everyone always give me crap about this because I usually eat "dinner" foods for breakfast... but they are not even leftovers! I will wake up at 6 am and make spaghetti!

I just don't have a sweet tooth, so I don't like all the sugar in breakfast foods, like cereal, waffles, pancakes, muffins, all those fruit juices. It's too much sugar in the morning for me.

Eat whatever you want for breakfast! I think that either you're dealing with older people who have traditional breakfast, or that they're younger and that's what the parents gave them. I always have leftovers for breakfast. Sometimes it's pasta. Other times it's grilled cheese or a quesadilla. I think people are just too uptight.

Some people believe that breakfast should be somthing lite and healthy. Although many people do use leftovers or a little heavier foods for breakfast. Your average American tends to eat brunch rather than brekfast on Sundays.

Same as eating pancakes or eggs for supper. Don't know where or why it started except years ago eggs and meat gave you more protein to start the day plowing the field- not that they knew what protein was. But who cares? Eat what you want when you want - just eat healthy food. With so many obease people maybe it's time to change the rules.

There is a deli next to my house - they have an "all day burger". Horrible for your health, but this is the best "burger" I've ever tasted in my life!

It is on a jumbo hamburger bun, with canadian ham, 4 strips of bacon, 3 large sausage patties, a fried egg and salsa (it's actually a burger). Hows that for a slice of life - and best part about it - they don't serve it until noon!

People only act surprised. I'm sure they've all done it, too. I don't eat grains so that kills the cornflakes, oatmeal, toast, and waffles for me. I had some canned chicken and salsa for breakfast this morning. Never let other people pigeonhole ya.

I have no clue..I much perfer those types of foods to Eggs, Pancakes etc.
I am more likely to eat a Vegan Taco, made with last night's left over, grilled veggies than a bowl of cereal.
