Benadryl works wonders for allergies. To give an idea of what to do for dosage, my dog is about 75lbs and he gets one 50mg dose in the morning and one 50mg dose in the evening.

If this is an allergy or intolerance, the only thing that will work is to eliminate the ingredient from the diet. There is no "home remedies for this type of problem.

Take her to the vet and rule out other health conditions.

If no other problem can account for symptoms you can do an elimination diet. Start with preparing only whole brown rice and ground beef. If symptoms continue after 2 weeks switch to another whole grain like millet, quinoa, wild rice etc and another ground meat like chicken, pork etc.

If it continues at that point you can try different grains and meats but odds are that your dog is allergic to something else such as your laundry soap, grass or other chemicals in the enviroment. If you keep a journal of what she is in contact with and when symptoms are present it will help to give you clues to what might be causing it.

If you find the symptoms resolve try feeding different things in small amounts with at least 3 days between new things and see if it flares up again.

After you identify the cause you must be diligent in avoiding that allergen. Your vet will probably have more information for you.

Well firstly you need to find out what the dog is allergic to.

How do you know it isn't fleas? Unless you're regularly using a veterinary treatment like Frontline, you can't be sure the dog has no fleas - even one is enough to make a dog with a flea allergy insane.

You need to speak to a vet to help narrow down what is the problem here. The only sure treatment is to remove the source of the allergy, but when this is impossible the vet can provide you with appropriate treatment.

Benedryl helps a lot, but you really do need to take the dog to a vet to find out what the allergen is so you can remove it from contact with the dog.

You need to figure out what he's allergic to and remove it, if possible.
