I have bi-polar, OCD, and depression. I want to get some lithium. Does it have to be prescribed? Can I order it online?

Yes it has to be prescribed. Lithium can be dangerous if it's not taken right. I'm not sure if it can be ordered online.

Self prescribing is very dangerous. There are better medications for bipolar and OCD than Lithium, an old-style psychotropic medication that is very dangerous as you can easily become toxic thus requiring reqular blood levels.
IF you want Lithium or any other medication to help, go see a licensed Psychiatirst!

why do you want Lithium? Have you ever taken Lithium? That is not the only drug on the market for Bipolar Disorder. It is one of the more dangerous drugs you can take. And yes you have to have a prescription for it. You need to go to a Dr and see if you even need it and then you have to keep getting blood draws to make sure your not toxic and have your liver checked to make sure there is no damage....... Talk to your Dr and be safe!

How do you know what disorders you have if you have not been to the doctor? Go back to him if you have been and ask if you need to be on lithium. I am Bipolar also but lithium did not help me. Please do not self medicate

Yes it does have to be prescribed and it could be very dangerous for you to simply start taking it yourself without the correct dosage information. This is a very potent medication and critical that your age, size etc. be considered in order to establish the therapeutic dose.

I'm sure you went to a doctor to get the diagnosis of those 3 disorders. Maybe you should go back to that doctor and ask for medication for those 3 disorders.

it somewhat is so incorrect. to question a distinction between Nirvana's artwork and Evanescence's artwork. i'm dissappointed in you. Nirvana is far greater helpful. Go to your Doctor It has to be prescribed Bipolar also try to take lots of B-complex

It is prescription only and you have to have regular tests while you are on it. Never self medicate when it comes to mental health!
