You know of coarse you are get the answers for the dog that the person has. I am no different. But I will throw in some background.
In the past I have had many great dogs. A German Shepard, a Border Collie and many mutts. All were great dogs, smart and easy to train.
For the family dogs there was the Old English Sheepdog, big friendly and very lovable.
A Beagle. A great family dog, loves everyone and is a clown.
But the best by far is the American Pit Bull Terrier. She loves everyone. She is great with children. I have seen her lay on the floor next to my one month old grandson for more then an hour. She would not leave his side.

Mine is also the English Springer Spaniel. However, the Welsh Springer Spaniel is a close second

My Favorite Breed is a Colie cause I have a dog that is half that and half labrador. I also like pit bulls they are just so cool looking and some are actully nice.

I can't give you just one breed - I grew up with mutts, so they're my favorite.
My top five (that aren't mutts):
1. German Shepherds
2. Labrador Retrievers
3. Golden Retrievers
4. Cardigan Welsh Corgis
5. Australian Shepherds
(my mutt, Missy, is a GSD/Golden Retriever mix)

I would have to say the Sheba Inu. They are the cutest things in the world. I have a Sheba Inu and her name is Sheba too (LOL). Their very high energy and are very friendly, but they also can protect you too. They respond very quickly to your call and they love atention. I think theres many great dog breeds out there, but the Sheba Inu is my favorite.
