I am running for fair queen in my county and candidates are required to be on a float that goes along the lines of the theme "treasuring the past, shaping the future." If you have any ideas (preferrably low budget) please let me know! Thanks!

First thought was three generations on the float, grandparents/parents/kids and all that is associated with families.
Second thought is books: library in the back and children at school desks writing
Third thought would be for an ethnic group, past would show cultural heritage and future would be.......kids again.......hand in had with elders.

why don't you see if you can locate a previous beauty queen of the past say 20 years ago then 10 years ago then you.
or you can do the liberty bell (past) space shuttle(now)
