Yes. And here is some information below in case you want to know more.
It is written in the Bible that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me" (John 14:6)
I'm going to copy and paste some information below that I've written and saved from what I wrote to others.
There's a multitude of proof of God's existance. Ask the archeologists, go to Jerusalem and see for yourself.
Go to Mt Sinai in Saudi Arabia, actually the arabs are keeping it off territory. But you can see it documented by the archeologists in the video called "The Search for the Real Mt Sinai" .....it reveals things that exactly add up to what is said in the Bible. It reveals specific things quoted in the Bible and found around and on the mountain and geographic area that can't be found anywhere else.
God in the name of Jesus Christ answered my prayers in time of great need. He revealed to me answers I would've never realized, which probably saved my life, lest I was walking towards a nightmarish trap and didn't know it.
Other times he leads and guides my path from danger.
Another time when I was young, my mother and I were driving on a long drive to visit family. Coming off an exit to enter onto another road/highway, the car lost complete control, it had previously rained so the car was slipping and swaying hard. There were no side railings to protect us, if you go off the road, the car will go off the cliff. We almost went off the cliff, but there was just one sign saying 'Welcome to Albany' and nothing else in sight, our car hit the pole of that sign, sped around and stopped. There is no way I will believe that, that was a coincidence. That was God and from the prayers for us to have a safe journey. This is my testimony and proof.
Religion is very complicating though, God only answers prayers if he sees it fit to. Also, someone needs to be a follower, because Christ said I will turn my face on those that turn their face on me. But, none the less all people on earth whether a follower or not, still receive certain protection from God. And, one more thing my friend, God had given dominion over the earth to Adam and Eve, and when they sinned, they lost that power, thus it went into the hands of the 'serpent' the evil one. Therefore, we see misery and chaos in life. There is a certain legalisticness involved, since God has to keep his word, he can't always jump into every situation, and somethings we have to accept. By being educated in the Bible, you won't be as lost, you'll have knowledge which will give you power on life. One thing we can count on, is the eternal life, by accepting Christ, we will be given eternal life in his kingdom where misery does not exist.
Think about it, how many good years do we have in this life? I'll be generous and say 100. But my gosh, can you even fathom millions, billions, zillions of years, and still going never ending? If I were you, I would make an honest attempt to find the truth or faith, what do you have to lose anyway?
Actually to go to heaven, we first have to become *born again* of the spirit, a Christian that doesn't go through this special prayer has not become one of God's children and to enter into heaven.
As for other religions, Christ said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the father except through me" (John 14:6) He [Christ] is the bridge that gaps us to God because when Adam and Eve sinned, man was cut off from God. God had said that if they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they shall surely die, that was also intended to mean they will be cut off from him, spiritually. The will eventually die from this world and they have lost connection with him. {separation from God} [first three chapters of Genisis]
Therefore, in order to find our way back to him, somebody had to pay the penalty for this sin, the way parents punish children. It had to be done because God cannot go back on his word, Jesus was born into the world to receive the penalty in our place, so that we may have the option to take this gift [which is termed grace.]
Also, what about those other religions? Can you go to the grave of Mohammed, or Buddha, so forth,,,,will you not find their bones in their graves? But, can you go to a grave of Jesus, and find any bones? No, not Jesus, because he rose from the dead like he said he will. Jesus is the only one that put himself in a position of martyr and died for us. Which one of those other religions did a 'prophet' die for you? Jesus did all good for people, he perfomed miracles.
There can only be one road to the kingdom.
Some religions, that do very weird things like self pain infliction and show that they are not feeling any pain or leaving any mark, is really the work of the devil, because any false god that is being worshipped, is the devil without them knowing it, and that's where they receive there power.
There are archeaologic finds all the time that show the existance of people and things from the Bible.
Also, you will hear true documentaries on TV, but also false documentaries saying the opposite and trying to contradict. This has also been said in the Bible that there will be false prophets and an anti-christ to deter and confuse you. The movie 'Davinci Code' is one of them. One of satan's big tactics is to create confusion and doubt.
WHEN YOU PRAY TO GOD, YOU NEED TO SAY IN THE NAME OF CHRIST, SINCE LIKE BEFORE I MENTIONED HE IS THE BRIDGE TO GOD, THEREFORE, IT IS BETTER TO BRIDGE HIM IN OUR PRAYERS TOWARDS GOD SO THAT WE HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF BEING HEARD. REASON - GOD CANNOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH SIN, ADAM AND EVE'S SIN FALL UPON US BECAUSE WE COME FROM THEIR TREE, BECOMING BORN AGAIN WASHES OUR SIN.
NOTE: GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH OUR CONSCIENCE, BUT BEWARE, THE EVIL SPIRIT CAN ALSO TRY TO MESSAGE OUR CONSCIENCE, SO WE NEED TO BE DISCERNING. USE WISDOM, IF SOMETHING DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT, IT MAY NOT BE. ALLOW YOUR CONSCIENCE MAYBE A DAY TO SEE IF YOU'RE STILL FEELING THE SAME MESSAGE, SOMETIMES JUMPING RIGHT IN MAY NOT BE PRUDENT, THAT'S WHY USE WISDOM, A FEELING OF ASSURANCE, AND A FEELING OF PEACE TO KNOW WE'RE RECEIVING GOD'S MESSAGE.
Source(s):
...your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden his face from you, So that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2) That's why we need Christ - our bridge.
Born again (John 3:1-4)
PS: It's not always easy because as a true Christian, one goes through trials and tribulations, the evil one tries to snatch us away from God and so at times we may have difficulties, God allows us to go thru it a little bit so that we may come out strong and closer to him. It's like when we go to school or anywhere that requires us to be tested at something, our parents allow us to take the test so that we pass and become stronger. They are behind us and supporting us. They will not forsake us.

Of course silly! BTW, He's more than just a "higher power" He's your Father, Friend, just ask Him for His help and see how fast He sends it. He sends it in the form of people, a song on the radio, check in the mail, comfort by hearing from a long lost Friend, etc. How could we NOT believe in God? :)

Yes, ....Me.
The second law of thermodynamics states that the amount of energy in a system that is available to do work is decreasing. Entropy increases as available energy decreases. In other words, the purely natural tendency of things is to move toward chaos, not order, and available energy necessary for work is lost (mostly as heat) in this process. Eventually, the universe will run down and all life and motion will cease. This is the natural tendency of all things. Batteries run down, machines break, buildings crumble, roads decay, living things die, etc. Left to the natural state, all things would eventually cease to function.
The universe is not infinitely old because it has not "run down."
If the universe were infinitely old, it would have reached a state where all usable energy is gone.
But we are not in this state; therefore, the universe is not infinitely old and must have had a beginning.
Because the universe has had a beginning, it is not infinite in size.
It would require an infinite amount of time to become infinite in size. Since the universe had a beginning, it has not had an infinite amount of time to expand; therefore, it is finite in size.
All events have causes.
There cannot be an infinite regress of events, because that would mean the universe were infinitely old.
We've already established the universe cannot be infinitely old.
If it were infinitely old, the universe would be in a state of unusable energy, which it is not.
If it were infinitely old, the universe would be infinitely large, which it is not.
Since the universe is finite and had a beginning and there cannot be an infinite number of regressions of causes to bring it into existence, there must be a single uncaused cause of the universe.
A single uncaused cause of the universe must be greater in size and duration than the universe it has brought into existence.
Otherwise, we have the uncaused cause bringing into existence something greater than or equal to itself.
Any cause that is natural to the universe is part of the universe.
An event that is part of the universe cannot cause itself to exit.
Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause outside the universe.
An uncaused cause cannot be a natural part of the universe, which is finite.
An uncaused cause would be infinite in both space and time, since it is greater than which it has caused to exist.
An uncaused cause would be separate from the universe.
Being separate from the universe, which was caused to be, it would not be subject to the laws of the universe since it existed independent of the universe and its laws.
This would mean that entropy need not be required of the uncaused cause.
This uncaused cause is supernatural.
By supernatural is meant completely 'other' than the universe and is not the product of it.
This uncaused cause must be incredibly powerful to bring the universe into existence.
The Bible teaches that God is uncaused, is not part of the universe, created the universe, and is incredibly powerful.
God's existence (in Christianity) is not an event, but a state.
Psalm 90:2 says that God is God without a beginning.
This means that God is uncaused.
Therefore, the God of the Bible is the uncaused cause of the universe.

There are a lot of people who believe in God....or a higher power.
On Sundays most churches are filled to capacity.
Among my family/friends/acquaintances, I'm the only non-believer.

Yes I believe in God , yes I believe in creation, yes I believe in evolution.
As far as all the religions of today and the gazillions of christian denominations, I'm not sure anymore.
Each faith is right, everyone else is wrong and for hundreds of years, each have killed to back it up.

This is religion & spirituallity site - what do you expect?
Many of us believe in God as in "GOD".
Some have other "Gods"
Some believe in a higher power but that is just because they don't believe in "God".
Others don't believe in God at all.
