I sent some flowers annoyomously to a girl and noticed that the next day she was very relaxed and calm. I get the impression that the girl is singled.
Does the calm and relaxed reaction indicate that they must have brightened up her day and made her feel important? How do you girls feel upon receiving flowers?

I sent the flowers because I really like the girl and wanted to make her day, I know she suspected they were from me - but when I asked her for drink she said maybe and then has since said I went too far by asking her!

I was single till about my mid thirties, and I can tell you what gestures I appreciated from guys who were interested in me. Number one characteristic is sincerity. Love flowers, love to be taken out for a drink or dinner. But if there is an ulterior motive for the nice offers, I am turned off. I realize that a lot of guys believe that when they treat a gal to such niceties that it is an unspoken agreement for the woman to reciprocate with sexual favors. If this is the case, the guy should get a signed contract, first, lol.
As it is, usually men make more money than women. Flowers and gifts should be without strings attached. Then the man can be seen as having both sincerity and generosity.
I guess you run the risk of someone taking advantage of you, but that's not the kind of girl you're looking for, I'm sure. She can reciprocate with a homemade gift, or a picnic lunch, for example.
The bottom line is, don't push any expectations you may have. The flowers are a good starter, but let things develop naturally.
Some women go through phases of being drawn to mean guys with the "bad boy" imagery. So if your flowers don't seem to make a difference, don't feel bad.

Flowers most definitely brightened her day! What a nice gesture! Maybe she seemed calm and relaxed the next day, but inside she's probably dying to know who sent them to her!

Flowers are great, but it sounds like this particular girl is just not into you...she could've been looking relaxed and calm the next day for any number of reasons (maybe she had a mind-blowing orgasm or something) I think yopu are probably obsessed with her...back off.

Lol, I'm not typical, so if she is, she'll probably be the opposite of me. I don't care for receiving flowers, they die. They belong in the earth from wench they came. To snatch them up and give them to someone seems so pointless. Why not write her a note or something more personal than ordering and sending her flowers that will die. Its actually quite depressing to me. There are other things you can do to make a girl feel important.

Most girls love to get flowers. They do make us feel good. Does this girl know you and if she is single why did you send them annonimously? Let her know it was you and maybe you could go out to eat or something.. Dont send flowers unless you generally mean you like the girl, hard on emotions sometimes if it was a joke or dare.... Sweet idea though

Flowers make a girl feel loved. They can also be a GREAT stress reliever. The scent from the flowers sooths and calms us.

I have been sent flowers by a girl, and it was extremely special. I prefer flowers to Air freshener. I'm not gay, but I like my garden and thus like flowers in the house.
Most girls LOVE flowers, unless they have an allergy...but they will still love the thought.

I think that is very sweet. This is my personal thoughts. some women may and other may not agree. I like when a person is spontaneous. Sending them a lovely display of flowers is something really nice to do. You never know if that person is feeling down and this might just reverse that feeling.
I would really love a guy who does something like this
