I love new york and look forward to the day i can afford to return to live there. I was born there, moved to Los Angeles when i was 5 and have been here ever since. I guess my opinion comes mostly from a comparison to L.A., but I love New York's pace and speed. I love the quality of the public transportation. I love that when I walk somewhere, there's so much to see, before I know it I've walked 10 blocks. In L.A. after 2 blocks I feel like gravity has increased and I'm being pulled into the ground. I love the architecture. I love that in New York you can't throw a hot pretzel (I can almost smell them) without hitting a building that's less that 100 years old. Here, finding a building that old and charming is like finding a winning lottery ticket. that's just a start, someone pick up where I left off...

What an odd question. Have you never been here or never heard about all the amazing things here? The energy, the people, the museums, the shopping, the architecture, the art, the theater, the fashion, the free lifestyle, the diversity, the many neighborhoods, it is the most amazing ciy in the world. you can learn things here you will never learn other places in the states, it is like traveling the world to travel the neighborhoods.

because as soon as I get off at PENN sta. from Long island, and I hear the horns, and the "WOOP" WOOOOP" WOOOOOOOP" from the cop cars pushing traffic out of the way, my heart starts to beat fast, YEA BABY, GONNA HAVE FUN NOW, PLENTY OF ACTION HERE, WATCH THY AZZZ ! Bwoop Bwoooop ! walking past those rip off electronics places with the music blasting out of HUGE speakers as you walk by, someone asks you for a dollar, You look and see the plain clothes cops arresting someone for an unknown reason with the guy spread on the side walk, The clippity clop of the horses going by with the cars, that smell of burned chestnuts in the air, and this was only in the first block of walking, ya get a little scared, "This place is NUTS", then you get to the wildest party on Earth, somewhere, that someone knew about, your not quite sure what street you're on, you hang all night, then when the train doors open back on Long Island, with the sun coming up, you think to yourself, "THAT was COOL, I WANNA DO IT AGAIN NEXT WEEK END" !

I love going to NYC, the place is alive. No shortage of things to see/do. I could just hang in Times Square or the village and people watch 24x7.

Going to Yankee Stadium tomorrow as a matter of fact - can't wait.
