I'm trying to make permanent changes to my snacking, but I need to be able to eat sweets! what do YOU snack on and still remain at your ideal weight?

(those so called "fat free" snacks are overloaded wth sugar, so that is not an option for me)

thanks....

Trick yourself: bake brownies or muffins and cut the fat add pureed carrots or unsweetened applesauce ect. in exchange for the full amount of butter, oil, and sugar. They still are yummy and in moderation you get your sweet fix.
(I'm a sweet addict too).

The 1/2 fat, 1/2 calorie double churned Edy's icecream tastes awesome too but again in moderation.

you dont need junk (fat free doesnt mean anything - fat from food is not stored in body as fat -its transfered into energy and if there is any extra left only then its put in fat reserves)
healthy snacks - nuts, seeds, dried fruit, 60cal yogurts and puddings, whole grain cereals (kashi are the best you can find in regular food stores), whole grain cereal bars, baby carrots, other veggies (cucumbers, celery, peppers etc), fruit (there are soooo many of them). sometimes you can have some chocolate but only one thats over 70% cocoa.
