Media mail?

Are photos, photo enlargements or slides considered Media Mail. I cannot find the answer on the PO website.

yes, assuming you enclose no additional first class material, such as a letter. however to save anything by media mail the object has to be of considerable wieght. sending a photo, even an enlargement would be much cheaper by ordinary first class mail. Media mail used to be a considerable savings, but items should weigh a pound or more to get any benefit.

You need a padded envelope, probably best to get it at the post office.
