If President Bush finds Scooter’s sentence “harsh” for obstruction of justice in a “treason” investigation, why would he not want to give 13 to 20 million people “Amnesty” for crossing our borders illegally?

He still wants to... watch between now & the '08 election what bills get signed into law.

Bush commuted Libby cause he needed to appease ppl in his own party base. He's so down on his luck with his own base that he'd do anything he can to get their support. Manu conservatives are speaking out against his "policies" and he needs them to stand behind him.

ILconservative, yes, what Libby did was treason. He released the name of an operative just because her hubby spoke out against the Iraq war.
