we pick on other governements that are just as bad...we may not kill anyone in front of people..but the gov. steals from middle class and poor. the govt gets richer and richer. the govt is involved with CIA and the CIA is so corrupt we dont even hear about it..i know they launder drugs for money and have ties with foriegn authorities that deal with drugs..i mean it seems that way mabye i am wrong but i am so worried that american is so caught up in money it is looses its american v alue.. it seems....why is this world so evil..but we continue to riducule other countires when we are not better...

There is a book called "In the time of the tirants" written by two reporters that lived through Torrios and Noriega in Panama. It details how Noriega emptied the planes of weapons Reagan was sending to Nicragua filling the planes with drugs and sending them back to the US to airports owned by Bush and Clinton. Bush did his best to get the documents that detailed that a couple of years ago. Bush and the CIA have been running drugs since the Vietnam war. It all has to do with money and power. George Shrub invaded Afganistan, leveled half the country but not one opium field was touched, and they have doubled sine the war. Get a clue.

I think we treat the poor a heck of a lot better than the governments in 3rd world countries. At least they are given a monthly check, food stamps, and free health care. Our country does not practice "Hijab" and women have our rights and are not forced to cover up head to toe and beaten by a strange man or men in the streets least we offend someone. You need to go to one of those countries to live like a Muslim woman, who by the way is fighting for their rights. Or the Latin Americans who are risking their lives to sneak into our country because of the corrupt governments in their countries that are worse than ours.

first of all, how do you know all these facts about the government? how do you know the government is laundering drug money and what-not? the government taxes the poor, middle class, and the rich. and the rich get richer because its a capatalist nation. you can get rich too if you have an idea and are able to market it. that is the american dream. and one last question, why is this question relating to the government only in the R&S section?

Because we, as Americans, are indoctrinated from a very early age that "America good, rest of world bad". Fear is instilled in us to never question that, nor the actions of our country, and to do so is treasonous, as evidenced by the current administration.

It's been my experience that those who wave their flag the highest and sing the National Anthem the loudest have rarely left the county in which they were born.

There is NO greater motivator than questioning one's patriotism.
