Understand that when I pray, I'm just saying thanks to the origin of Existence. God is the term that i choose to use and it could be any other words like power,or energy or vision... . I hope noone is denying that we can't exist without a cause. Because we are and we know it, it's obvious.

That's the term I use to describe the origin of everything, and it's destination - there is no other term that describes it, but some can't hear the term without filling in the unknown spaces with *dogma.*

If prayer helps you feel better, then you should do it, though if you are convinced that your prayers are received, you may just be delusional.

specific i may well be destructive to that for the ordinary reason that calling it "God" in simple terms creates confusion. call it what it fairly is. The observe "God" is regularly taken to point a supernatural, clever author. ok so do no longer call issues that are no longer supernatural, clever creators "God" then. The observe "God" in simple terms has an excellent type of luggage once you're saying it human beings right now think of of specific issues. I have no persistence for observe video games and exceptionally observe video games that do no longer something extra advantageous than create an excellent type of bewilderment over what's being suggested. i come across it cheating and counter effective.

Don't worry what others think. What you choose to call the cause of your existence is entirely up to you. I am pagan and choose to call the higher energies God. This is easiest for me. When I pray, what I perceive as God is all around me as well as part of me.

Whatever gives you a focal point for your prayers is valid. Keep praying however you may wish. The world needs our prayers and gratitude.

Sort of an Einsteinian personification of the universe as mysterious/divine?

The main problem with that is that it makes the theists think they have your support when they really don't. If you become famous, they'll take advantage of that.

Edit: I just read the second half of your question, and I noticed that you said you can't exist without a cause. I thus reject your whoe argument, which then degernates into the cosmological argument (which is rightly derided).

You can call anything "god", but that doesn't make it God, people have been doing that for millenia. Carving small figurines, painting them up and then worshiping them.
Muslims worship Allah and yet the attributes of Allah and the God of the Bible are very different. They are not the same.
If "God" created the heavens and the earth then God did it, not another version that you've created.
Truth is truth.....any deviation from truth and it ceases to be true.

I think it's great that you pray, and I think it's great that you give glory to God. However, I think it's important to get to know Who you worship. Wouldn't you like to know Who God is? God is very practical, not just ethereal. He wants you to know Who He is, just as you would get to know anyone you spend time with.

My advice is to get to know Him. Our best source is the Bible and through prayer. Yes, the Bible was written by men, but under inspiration of the Spirit of God. It is not an ordinary book! The book of Hebrews tells us that the Word of God is living and active and able to penetrate our very souls. Check it out for yourself and you'll see how it can change your life!

The "Creator of all things" wants you to pray to Him and worship Him.

My mortgage company wants me to send them a check every month.

Send your prayers up to "whoever" will result in them not getting to God, and you don't get the benefits of blessings now, nor do you get the benefit of Heaven later.

If I send off a check to "whoever" I won't get credit for this month's payment, and will eventually have my house taken away.

There is actually one and only one lender to whom I must send what's due them - they lent me the money for the house. AND there is actually one and only one "origin of everything" find out who He is and give Him His due.

Category mistake. Seeing that individual things within time and space have a "cause" does not imply that space/time as such has a cause. Your prayer also assumes that the source you posit has a personality. Too many assumptions.
