For me, the major reasons are:

1. Bible contradicts reality and itself

2. It's morally bankrupt

"The acts of the christians themselves" - This would be damaging to self, if true. Imagine if you really like to find out about and play basketball, but you just can't stand some NBA stars' behaviour - doesn't mean basketball is a bad game for you, isn't it?

"The belief that the bible is the know all of science and history"

- This isn't true. Catholicism believes that the bible can have contradictions in science and history. Read up on the Catholic Church's approach to the bible here -

"And because of the crazy doctrines that people have to do some major finagling to make it fit with scriptures" - One wouldn't have to do any finagling if the Catholic Church's approach is used.

...is that all the objections there are?

1. yes & no. There are crazy christians & there are snobby ones & there are very good sweet friends.

2. No. the bible is not the know al of science & history. If you know your history & a true theologian, you would know that The bible was written separately by many men with their beliefs & stories. All their info was put together into a book. They all proof-read each other's 'book' & decided what to leave out & what to keep just to avoid embarrassments and/or shame. Jesus (pbuh) did have a child. Its a story-book that has been changed again & again over time. Christianity has been broken up into hundreds of forms of Christianity just because someone didnt like the rules of one.

"The word "Bible" does not occur in the Holy Scriptures. The English word "Bible" is a manufactured, made-up word. Its origin is in the Greek word for the papyrus (pa-Pie-rus) plant that the Egyptians used to make paper. The Greeks called the plant biblos and eventually writing products derived from the plant such as scrolls became known as biblos. There is even an ancient Phoenician city named "Byblos" whose name is derived from its extensive manufacturer and trade in writing materials. To invent the word Bible, scholars borrowed the plural Greek word "biblia" meaning scrolls, or "little books" and created the English word Bible.
The Greeks still use the term biblos today."

3. ... #2. paragraph answers this question too.

Christians formed a new religion (The Jesus Cult) and then took all of Jewish sacred history, its heroes and writings and claimed them for their own. So, whose Bible is it? Is it a Bible belonging to Jews, Christians or both? Its a story that has been changed again & again over time. People over the centuries have bumped Jesus (pbuh) up so many times & so much up to even a god. When all he was, was just a messenger & prophet that was sent to us with granted permissions like all the other prophets. I see that GOD has tried so very many times over to try to tell humans to believe in HIM.

I am of the opinion that Christianity is a mediocre idea gone horribly, horribly wrong. Many of its fundamental teachings strike me as innately harmful and damaging; its followers tend to be close-minded and bigoted; and its theology is flawed.

The very basis of Heaven and Hell themselves, of sinning and forgiveness, are horribly cruel things to impress upon a person. No matter how good a person you are, no matter how sincere or kind or generous, if you do not obey every command in the Bible or given by your church, you will burn in Hell forever. It is, bluntly, a leash to keep people in line. Because they are naturally wrong and dirty, they need constant guidance to keep them on the "straight and narrow" -- guidance provided by either a church or a book, and always at the sacrifice of individuality. Don't wear this, don't say that, don't think, don't speak, don't do -- this is how to be a good person. Your natural desires, be it for sex or for sweets, are denied to you; your natural emotions are stifled, and you are told what to think at all times. If you do not think this way and wear these clothes, you will be punished forever. If you do not accept Christ as god and take up the guilt of knowing an innocent man was slaughtered for you, then you will burn in Hell. Again, how can this be beneficial to teach someone? That they must either give up their own minds or own lives, and not suffer; or that they can be themselves and be human and be punished?

On the other hand, if you are a believer in Christ, then you can do no (permanent) wrong. You have no true personal accountability or responsibility. If you do something bad, the Devil made you do it! It is because you were under the influence of Satan, not because you were short-sighted or just plain wrong. You can blame this external force for all your wrong doings and keep your own conscience clean and clear -- you do not have to feel bad about what you did, nor have to make serious amends for it. All that is necessary is to ask God to forgive you (which God, of course, always will), and you are free of all wrong doings. What a wonderful way to destroy a healthy sense of accountability! What a marvelous way to warp a balanced moral fabric of right and wrong! While Ghandi goes to Hell for being a non-Christian saint, Jeffrey Dahmer can repent and go to Heaven to eat supper with his victim's parents. This is, in fact, the main driving force behind various types of religiously-inspired hatred and murder: if you are killing for God, or repent while you are killing, then you are really a "good" person, while the "bad" you killed are going to Hell. But it's okay, because they aren't Christian. We saw the results of this in the Inquisitions.

The main reasons I dont believe in Christianity are

1- The god of the Bible is a bloodthirsty god who kills millions and millions of people, tells people to kill other people, allows rape, slavery, sex slaves, among other things.

2- The Bible is so contradictory. There are over a hundred different contradictions in it.

3- The Christians are hypocrites. They vigorously deny the existance of thousands of gods, but feel outraged when you deny the existance of their "God". They get purple in the face when they hear the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but dont even flinch when they hear about how God slaughtered all the babies in Egypt in Exodus and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in Joshua including women and children. They believe the entire population of the world that doesnt share their beliefs will spend eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering, but consider themselves the most "tolerant" and "caring" of religions.

NO get it right all atheists are not atheist because of one reason we are not like christians we do not all gather for one reason all of us have a reason for choosing to be an atheist mainly because there is no proof of your god . the book was not written by your god himself it was written by a man yes a man that knows nothing !! and if your bible is real than how did this man now every single thing about those people in the bible ? he probally would had have to live over 5000 yrs just to get all the info plus was he spying on every body at once ? because he probally herd those stories from other people who probally herd it from other people who like to stretch stories as other people do today . NOW YOU KNOW!!

no, not really.

1 would not affect my lack of belief in gods
2 is harmful, but again does not affect my lack of belief in gods
3 again harmful, but again does not etc.

there are so many gods in human history. Either they are all one god (and many of their attributes conflict so that seems unlikely) or all exist (making this place like a god shopping mall, you would literally stumble over gods), or only one exists (out of thousands) and the rest if false, or they are all invented by humans.

Additionally, for such all-powerful omnipotent omnipresent beings, gods sure seem to like to play hide and seek. Which is odd as the ancient texts (and there are many 'holy' texts) all seem to have gods feature rather prominently.

Add to that the proclivity of the primitive or ignorant mind to assign supernatural causes when a natural cause isn't immediately obvious.

Add to that the fact that we can explain a very large part of this universe using natural science. A very large part. It seems logical to assume the remainder is also the result of natural processes.

Add to that...

actually, I do have more but this will do for now.

Wrong. Two main reasons:
1.) There is a complete lack of any empirical evidence to support the existance of any god, let alone the specific Christian god.
2.) Christian doctrine is so completely contrary to logic and reason (and often contrary to itself) that it's impossible for a rational, objective and intelligent person to take it seriously.

I am not a Christian, but that doesn't mean I feel their religion is wrong. It just isn't the right one for me. I feel that as long as a persons beliefs are moral and love based then I don't believe they are wrong. It is unfortunate that SOME Christians do not wish to give us the same respect. I don't expect people to believe what I believe but don't be so rude or ignorant to tell me that I am wrong and you are right. Or worse, try to convert me from my beliefs. My faith means just as much to me as theirs means to them so I at least owe them the same respect I want for my beliefs. Don't tell me you hate people telling you your religion is wrong and your God doesn't exist and then tell me that mine is wrong and my Goddesses and Gods don't exist.

Other christians. I know not all are alike but the ones I have been around were all high and mighty, claming to be perfect in every way, and very judgemental like they have never done anything bad.
