Dreaming of being a devil or demon could show some sense of guilt conscience. In your case
Chasing your mother = criticizing her, defending by words
started to growl and snarl or turn into demon = release of anger, try to take charge, control
You are trying to release your hatred, your helpless conscience in dream. To you, you feel bad criticizing your mom because subconsciously she controlled over you in many aspects of life. Projecting yourself as demon or devil will grant you some power. In other words, you are very low in confidence, self esteem, by turning yourself into some animal, devil or even demonic creature shows that at one point you are feeling helpless but angry.
Basically, you feel no control at all, and you wanted to gain some power and subconsciously you project devil to have this sort of defend mechanism in your mind.
You feel so evil because you didn't want to forget and forgive. If there is indeed bad relationship with your mom, go call her up and ask for forgiveness. Ask God or pray for forgiveness is not enough. Human interaction is better. If there is no bad relationship with you and your mom, that dream may serve as a reminder of you. You may be easy to anger and this dream in that sense reflects your personalities.

I noticed two things you said. First you said 'I ran on human feet and then I changed an ran on four feet, panting and snarling.' Like most humans, we fear the beast within. To give it freedom and no guidelines, is to have no control of your life. You also said 'You prayed.' then you know that you are capable of some evil. I can only tell you what is there, not how to handle or stop it that is in your hands.

It is possible to be influenced by different energies when we sleep. There are many energies out there, especially on the Astral realm. These energies are real and tangible to many people, this is not make believe.
One way this influence manifests is by receiving thoughts implanted by another source.
If these dark type of dreams continue to happen, then the energy may no be just passing by, the originator may have found that you are easily receptive, and gain pleasure in causing this sleep\emotional disruption.
Realize that you may have done absolutely nothing to attract this onto yourself (if you're thinking "why me?") other than have a lot of positive energy and be sensitive (which can be detected by the quantity and type of Light that you give off.)
Learn more about how to protect yourself. For instance, by creating a Golden bubble of Light around yourself (daily), and by asking for protection from the Great Spirit (whatever your believe system is) before you go to sleep, etc.
Here is a prayer listed in Echo Bodine's book, "Ask Echo" (she's a Ghost Buster and author of many books) that she learned from a Unity Church.
"The Light of God surrounds me
The Love of God enfolds me
The Power of God protects me
The Presence of God watches over me
Wherever I am,
God is.
And all is well."
If these incidents continue, seek out someone a.s.a.p. who is knowledgeable in this area - an experienced Lightworker (who is familiar with energy, protection, etc.)
You might inquire about referrals from your nearest metaphysical type of shop.

Don't worry - it's not an evil dream, it was just disturbing for you.
It's just a manifestation of anger, a kind of subliminal excuse to let go of your normally reserved and restrained way of handling things.
God gave us free will to choose our path in life while we are awake and in control, but trust that while you're asleep he's watching over you and what goes on in your dreams is just your mind sorting out issues/frustration/anger/sadness. It's a safe place to "act out" where no harm is really done.
Sorry to hear it upset you, don't be frightened, when you truly feel evil is near, it's also a reminder that you disdain it because you believe in the justness of good.
In the meantime - dreams are just wierd!

That's a fairly typical Oedipal Dream. You turned into an animal to symbolize your libido and your sexual desires. You were chasing and smelling her as part of a suppressed desire to engage in intercourse with her.
She ran because of two factors. First, you know having sex with your mother is taboo. Second you believe she does not reciprocate your desires.
If you believed she wanted to mate with you, then you would have caught her and either eaten her (A symbolic copulation) or actually mounted, perhaps even raped her.
The rape imagery and sense of "evil" is due largely to social taboos against incest.
The fact that the two of you had just had a fight is actually the most complex part of the dream. It could mean you just fight with her a lot. It could also be an expression of sexual tension existing in waking life. Perhaps you believe she knows you want to have sex with her, and expect her to be angry about it.
Was she panting while you were chasing her? If so did the panting seem more fearful or did it resemble, in any way, your image of panting during heated intercourse?
If it was fearful, then you believe she has no sexual desire for you.
If there was ANY sexual or sensual edge to her running or panting then you believe she desires you sexually, even though the dream makes it clear you don't believe she would ever act upon it.
Her vanishing is a typical "I'm afraid of losing my mother" element and has no real meaning beyond that.

Have you considered going to Church? I only say this because I think they can help, no I don't think your possessed but you can be Oppressed and that's where they are around you and that's bad enough don't you think? Hard to sleep, anger easily. Just check it out. God Bless Sweetie. Be more cautious where you hang out and with whom as bad spirits are attracted to bad people and places.
