Do you think I can train 2 Shar-peis (which are guard dogs) to protect my Yorkie as well as my property? I understand how hard it is to train a dog and am willing to take my doggie to classes as well as spend a lot of time with them. The shar-peis would be dividing their time from my home and office.

I dont think that is a good idea because of the shar peis temperament and that yorkies are very much smaller than the shar peis . good luck.

This is an extremely BAD idea
the Shar pei's temperment is not to be taken lightly
and, they are extremely pocessive of their owners !!
The Yorkie is a somewhat playful dog in attitudes and
behavior and will test the situation with other dogs to the point of annoyance in a lot of cases -- this will only happen once with a Shar pei -- then there won't BE an annoyance anymore !!!!!

One bite and a shake from a dog much larger than your Yorkie could kill it instantly. The bigger dogs don't know this and might not even mean to hurt the smaller dog in such a way. Bad idea in so many other ways also.

Yeah I have Yorkies, and they DO NOT like the company of other dogs other than their own breed.

No. Get a burglar alarm. Cheaper, safer, more effective, less chance of liability.
