personally , I know that I grow the most in my walk with Christ when and after I have suffered. Actually I have a chronic illness that causes pain every moment of every day- however I really feel without that pain, I would not know the grace of God. I know that God uses me in the pain- and something beautiful can come out of it, if I allow Him to mold me in the suffering

The oyster produces the pearl to stop it from suffering then someone comes along and ripes it open with a knife takes the pearl for someones vanity and throws the oyster away to die. Pearls arent usually found in the oysters that are eaten and certainly not in the quantities needed to satisfy the demand for jewelry. Its like killing animals for their fur really

The pearl starts as a seed inside the oyster and layer upon layer of pearlescent fluid is laid upon it until it grows into the perfect pearl.
What started as a seed in my life..was taken by God and layer upon layer of knowledge from Him has made me much better than I was but I guess I will never be as perfect as the pearl as we all fall short of the Glory of God.
Best wishes, Mike.

I believe we continually reincarnate to come back here to learn lessons and these include alot of painful lessons. This is the only way to learn and feel empathy for others who are going through similar lessons. Also bad karma from past lives come back and haunt you! This in turn purifys your soul.Don't worry you get a break on the other side when you 'go home' for a while b4 the next carnation. Can't wait personally.Could do with the break!!

Originally, we were not meant to suffer. In Eden, there was no suffering. There was physical work to be done and I imagine a dropped rock on foot would hurt, but that is about it.
We suffer today because of being so far away from perfection. The reason we suffer at all is due to the challenge raised by man and Satan back in Eden.
They had only one law, not to eat from one tree. This showed God's right to make the rules. Satan called God a liar, that man could make their own rules. Satan claimed man only worshiped God for what they could get from Him. Not out of love.
Now Satan was not foolish enough to challenge God's power. His right to rule he did challenge. What could God do? He could have wiped everything out and started over. He was a God of justice. To prove this challenge false, He has allowed time for the question to be settled. If man can rule himself, let him try. God knew there would be people who would worship Him out of love for Him.
Man has tried every form of government in the past 6,000 years. None have solved our problems. We suffer today because of it. Though most people have no real knowledge or love of the Creator, a small group do.
The allowed time for this challenge is almost over. It is clearly apparent God is the only one who can end the suffering of man today. Soon He will take over to end suffering.

I think everyone at some point wonders why certain things happen. We can"t know all this side of Heaven,
In the case of Job,during His Horriable Suffering, and after
when Job offered Prayer and The Sacrifices that they were required to bring to Job;God didn"t tell Job the Why.But Job
knew it was ok.All Job wanted during that terriable Time was a Mediater to present His Case to God; The Three Friends couldn"t but the 4 th Man "Elihu" which I believe Represents the "Church" When He spoke after listening to Sham-Ham & Japheth;(The three Friends") Job didn"t talk back to Him.
Go did Correct Him, But He Didn"t have to bring a Sacrifice.

Since everyone's sensation and definition of suffering is likely different, my answer is no exception. Some suffer publicly, some privately, and we all do, either physically or mentally. I still do, either from physical aches and pains or from being depressed - physically, the explanation is simple: I overdid it. Mentally, well, I have been fighting that one for years, and the one thing it keeps coming back to is that I do not know all the answers, won't be able to answer them in my lifetime, and have to realize that pain and suffering is a state of mind we find ourselves in because we do not know who we are and what powerful things we are capable of.

I can't answer for an oyster.
As a human I think we suffer because that's just what happens in life.....we're born because a woman suffered to bring up into the world.....and from time to time things happen to cause us physical, mental, or spiritual anguish.

We suffer as a lesson. You learn from it so you know how good happiness and rewards are. If you didn't suffer, being happy would not feel so good. It's life, and makes you stronger and who you are.
