How do I make sure people don't think I'm nuts or worse when I'm dropping things, forgetting words, and crying for no reason at work, especially while I'm not showing?

Well, try act like it's no big deal in the first place, but when it does happen and you feel like you have to say something try "wow, those pregnancy hormones sure are killer" and go about your business. Don't worry, you'll be showing soon enough.

Well, most people are too scared (at least the polite people) to ask if you are pregnant, so it is this little game we play. You know you are pregnant, they think you are pregnant and then when you announce it everyone acts surprised.

I had to teach an eight hour class during which I lost my train of thought at least fifteen times, dropped the dry erase marker twice and had to run out of the room twice to throw up. Fortunately, it was a class of adults, in a continuing education class and most of them had been there and could relate.

Don't worry about it, it is more obvious to you than it is to anyone else. Try to maintain and it will soon pass. As for the memory loss, mine never came back, so you can adjust.

Good Luck and Congratulations!

It depends on who they are. If its coworkers they should be made aware you are pregnant. They will all understand and if you can laugh at yourself they can even laugh with you.
If its customers at work your regular customers, ones you have really gotten to know will know you aren't yourself. Whether they know you are pregnant or you want them to know is up to you. If its not a regular customer or someone you will not see again it doesn't matter what they think. You can laugh, smile and say "geesh, just one of those days I guess."
It's hard, and sometimes embarrassing but you will get through it and laugh in the end when you are holding that bundle of joy.
Good luck

Tell them you are on a new prescription (prenatal vitamins, just don't say that) and it's going to take some time for your body to adjust.

That's what I said when I had severe morning sickness, and nobody figured it out. Of course, I work mostly with men.

Ignore them, you have better things to worry about right now than what everyone else is thinking.
