All Christians will not only glimpse "the new city", but are promised to live in it in with Almighty God and Jesus Christ. Christians will see, walk with, and talk with Almighty God and Jesus Christ, as well as King David, Samson, Noah, Daniel, Abraham, Moses, Jonah, Ezekiel, Ezra, Ruth, Esther, Naomi, Mary, Mary Magdalene, Joseph, King Solomon, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Peter, Thomas, James, Paul, John, Timothy, Enoch, Job, and all your saved Christian loved ones and all Christians from all over the world, since the beginning of time.
Even ALL non-believing people will one day see & stand face-to-face before Jesus Christ, too at the Great White Throne Judgment. The sad part is, by that time, they will KNOW they were wrong about Jesus Christ being a figament of man's mind or imagination, a fable, a fairy tale, a myth. They will then KNOW everything in the Holy Bible was/is absolute truth.
But for most, the day they (the unsaved, the non-believers) see Jesus Christ, they will have already died and their choices and chances to change their minds and repent & accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will have ended when they died.
They will be facing Jesus Christ for final judgment and they will remember that they knew about, heard about, were witnessed to and maybe even read The Holy Bible before death and had still rejected Jesus. Their dismissal, refusal, & contempt will convict them and they will, by their own choice spend eternity in The Lake of Fire with Satan and His demons f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Meaning there will be NO paroles, NO other chances, NO Holidays, NO indulgence prayers can change anything after you die.
But know this, when Christians reach Heaven, Christians will be given perfect new bodies, and we will know and see things with the intelligence, clarity, and complete understanding just like Jesus and Almighty God do now.

This is what Revelation 21:27 says:
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but only they whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
The formula for happiness is as eternal as the elements. The “Book of Life” is symbolic of the ingredients for this formula. The ingredients are the way we treat and associate with each other (our works/“names”). Those who serve us (God and His angels) will provide all things we need in order to live and be happy. Our only responsibility is to do unto others what we would have them do unto us. Those who cannot abide this Royal Law “shall in no wise enter into the New Jerusalem,” the city of happiness.
This answer comes from a book explaining ALL of Revelation, including what the "new city" means. It is truly freeing to understand.

By just living in accordance to Gods will. By doing so you are reserving a place in line to witness such events. It's sad how many people on this page take the bible as a joke. I hope you don't wait until it's to late to realize how real these verses are

Isn't it great? Truth is, you and I are much more valuable than we know. We are made in the image of God and created by His love -- He sent His Son to die for us - pursued until He caught us and then He even goes and prepares a place for us so we can live with Him forever!
We are more valuable than we know! Glory to God! It's going to be so wonderful!
Great Question!

In heaven, we will live with God. The "new city" John talks about in Revelations is heaven and God will dwell there with us. Live right and keep a prayer in your heart and you will be there one day.

All I know HE raised me from the dust and cleans me and I fall under HIS grace and mercy.
HE is my father and I am HIS child. HE leads and I follow.
every time I fall HE pick me up and tells to me to run again.
HE is so wonderful and full of grace sometimes I feel the same way.
It is so impossible to live without HIM. There is no words can express HIS unconditional love.
BLESS THE LORD.

Look around you right now! "The Kingdom of God is among you," stop thinking it's something you wait for. Revelations is a metaphor.

Words just can't grasp the truth. So here are some more to run around in circles with. There is no "you" that can see God. There is only this right now. All ideas are just ideas including everything you think you know about yourself. And all of it is just this.
