I'm a bit older than the intended age group (24 here) but my financial situation is rather the same as when I was that age. I keep a couple thousand in savings for emergency car repairs, gifts, and travel but other than that I spend all my money on school loan payment, insurance, rent, and the general cost of living.
I think that's just fine. You shouldn't feel pressured to have a whole lot saved up at this age.

Most people in your age group haven't shown enough intelligence at that point to worry about saving money, Congratulations on your sensibility.

Wrong section...but anyway.
Your age is a time to invest in education. There is no reason to have any savings at that point.

I have about $22,000 in stocks, 13,000 in the bank and about 175 bucks at home
My parents started me off on the right foot at an early age, and I'm paying for my own college, so it's all going to disappear.
