Dogs are carnivores so meat is always best. Raw is ideal but if you are not comfortable with feeding the meats raw, cooked is fine. You can feed any kind of meat -- chicken, duck, pork, turkey, lamb, mutton, venison, game birds, etc. You can also feed cooked or boiled fish, raw eggs, veggies...anything that is not dangerous from them, really.

Dogs don't necessarily want / need their foods switched about or spiced up. If they are thriving on what you are feeding, leave well enough alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Chicken and rice are well tolerated by dogs but I only use it for a vomiting / diarrhea situation.
Canned unsalted green beans or pumpkin are good additives for a dog who is dieting or constipated. (Both add fiber but not a lot of extra calories)
Table scraps and gravy are an absolute no-no.
I do give my dogs things like baby carrots or bits of apple as treats.
Here is a list of things NEVER to give your dog:

A BARF diet is what you should feed you pet.
BARF is a raw diet that consist of fruit, vegetables, and raw meat. Most people think that a dogs diet should only have meat, well that's not all although raw meat is a good start broccoli, spinach, celery, carrots, and capsicum as well as whole apples, whole pears, whole oranges, and whole eggs. These are some of the things that a BARF diet consist of but you can also visit this website to help you out-

Keep it bland and spice free - that includes salt. Boneless chicken and other meats and fish would be ok. Don't run the risk of making your dog a picky eater - lots of variety can sometimes do that.

I'm a vet tech, Giving dogs human food is not good. Human food has alot of vitamins and minerals that is good for us, but not meant for a dog. There digestive system can not handle it. And sometime will cause Problems. What you can try and is not harmful to your dog, is boiling chicken chop it up and mix with dog food. Good luck

You can add:
*canned chicken: but it must be balanced with other foods.
*frozen chicken: inexpensive and provides meat proteins for your dog(s).
*rice: a GREAT source of carbohydrates for home mixing.

If you really want more information, talk to your vet, but I recommend human foods with a lot of good carbohydrates and meat proteins. My friend's dog ate vegetables, etc. Good luck! :))

you don't need to spice up a dog's food, it's better just to keep them on their own food, not human food.
