Again and again every day people want someone else to name their pet. Only you can name your pet. You know the looks of the cat. Just saying it is black and orange does not tell if the black and orange is blobby or striped and a strong face does not give anyone the image of what the face really looks like. We also do not know the cats personality or character traits. Does the cat remind you of someone or something? If so, name the cat that. Is the cat lazy, playful, sad looking? Choose a name that depicts that trait. Does the pattern of the black and orange look like something a jack-o-lantern or something? Use that as a name. Have you just lost a dear friend due to moving or death? Honor the friend by naming the cat after them. Does the cat have a favorite game or toy? Name the cat for the actions it does when playing that game. Does the cat have a particular quirk? Name the cat for that. I have named mine after towns. people that have moved or died, beer, alcohol, four letter words (to tick off the neighbor when I called them in), after their temperments. I had an alpha male that would not tame at all no matter how much we tried. His name was Wild Thang. I had 4 kittens that loved to get in the car and go with us everywhere. They would jump in the car every time it was opened and traveled with us everywhere. I named them Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shep. Cats do not normally like to ride in cars and the antics of these cats to manage to get into the car and hide so that we would not see them and make them stay home reminded me of the Three Stooges. You need to see the cat, study the cat, and learn its personality to name a cat. No one else can do this for you. Hope that this helps you out.
