So that the Watchtower publishing company can make money, of course!

Achtung said "Jehovah's Witnesses never implied that their writings were infallible or inspired, or a replacement for the bible."

1) I don't have them with me at the moment, but there are JW publications that counter every word he wrote.

2) Why would I WANT to read a Watchtower if it is not inspired by God when I could read the Bible which WAS inspired by God and have the Holy Spirit continue to let me see deeper and deeper into every verse?

One reason for Watchtower literature is to demean the person of the Holy Spirit. "It" is not a person (so the Wt.Soc claims) but an impersonal force, like electricity, hence the lower case 'holy spirit' in all their writing. This combines with the fact that merely 8,500 or so JWs today claim to be anointed with 'holy spirit' - the rest (more than 99.9%) are NOT filled / anointed with 'holy spirit'. They have been told that the more work they put into studying Wt.Soc literature and going round the doors etc, the more 'holy spirit' they can expect to get (but they still won't be 'anointed').

The guidance of Wt.Soc literature is devoid of the Holy Spirit's guidance. But the Holy Spirit of God will not be mocked. The unforgivable sin is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. JWs are perilously (if unwittingly) close to such blasphemy. May God have mercy on them and snatch them away from such appalling disregard.

It is a bit strange to read some of the comments by Jehovahs Witnesses. It seems that some put the Watchtower literature on the same level with the Bible. If that is the case then they are clearly adding to the Bible, which one should not do.

Also if they should not have problems Mormons (adding books on the same level with the Bible. Nor should they have any problem with any other religion that places their writings or traditions equal to the Bible. After all if the Watchtower can add, they should not questions others who do the same.

The Watch Tower claims to be the inspired prophet or spirit-directed (observe video games via the WTBTS) via affirming that the Governing physique of the corporate is "the honest and Discreet Slave" dispenses the dazzling nutrition on the dazzling time ect. ect... The Governing physique additionally states that for the duration of ordinary terms via them can the followers attain "any" information of the bible. >on the comparable time and it fairly is stated as "speaking from the different element of their mouth"< They declare to no longer have any direct suggestion and submit their conclusions from analyzing the bible. each mistake and fake prophecy they have made they have claimed that the two their followers misunderstood or they had "new gentle". This new gentle excuse is likewise stated as "brighter gentle". it fairly is exciting that as quickly as someone analyzing the bible has a much better God-given illumination, like the sunlight increasing interior the day, they do no longer see a horse then a cat then a horse returned. The Watch Tower and its Governing physique prepare deception. ________ this could be an excellent question this is addressed via a pair distinctive former JW web pages which i don't have time to seek up at this element to place up references. There are super posters on Yahoo that don't decrease and paste from wordy web pages. _______ Peacelliy is right. Nathan spoke to David earlier inquiring of God Almighty. YAH suggested, "No". Nathan had additionally suggested for David to do what became in his coronary heart and that David did which blanketed adultery and then homicide to cover up the adultery. YAH understanding this would not have His Temple built via nor enable the privilege of establishing His Temple via David..

I just want to know, what did all of the Christians do without the help of the WT before it came about just over a 100 years ago. If God wanted the WT to talk for him, he wouldn't have inspired the Bible to talk for him..

Men, serving men, is what it basically comes down to..Worship God, believe the Bible..the Holy Spirit..Or believe the men at the WT and what they write in it..

Common sense should tell us which we should do.

achtung_heiss....Are you certain, that you state the absolute truth...WT ..never claimed to be inspired by God..? WT doesn't claim that they are the only ones that understand the Bible?.. ..Are you being honest...
If what you say is truth..then why does the WT have all of the different teachings that no other religions have? So you are saying the WT is not inspired by God..so that means these are man made rules that your religion holds so dearly?

Let me ask you this---
God's holy spirit is able to guide and direct us, but we still need the Bible, don't we?
Why did the apostles write letters to different congregations?
Were they not meant to encourage and upbuild all concerned? Those letters were made a part of God's inspired Word.

Bible study aids are very helpful and encourage us. Other faiths have them also. Go into any "Christian" bookstore and see how many Bible study books, magazines and other literature you find.
There are song books, prayer books, and devotional books found in all faiths.
Having a study aid with a worldwide circulation of more than 26,000,000 copies in 150 languages, is a blessing indeed. In this way people in every part of the earth can learn the truth about Jehovah and what his purposes are for the earth and for all who will inherit it.

The Watchtower is Jehovah's channel of truth for mankind today. The Watchtower along with your Bible goes hand in hand.

Just as the first church father's sent letters of encouragement, understanding of bible law and guidance to the congregations so it is done today in publications.

The Watchtower literature does not add or replace the bible. They are scripture references.

There is no need.

Paul&Zandra just did it again. Made the claim that the Watchtower is God's channel of truth. But the minute someone points out that the WT makes a lot of mistakes and has spoken a lot of "un"truth, which makes it unlikely that God is channeling his truth to them.....then they all say: We never said the WT is God's channel of truth. Sheesh....

Those of us who actively seek the truth are guided by the Spirit, and timely counsel (based on the Bible) is found in Watchtower literature. Many people don't seem to care that what is being taught in their churches is inaccurate, so they apparently don't need any such assistance.
