Hi im not sure whether to buy airline ticket from the airline website using my credit card or go to travel agencies to get it?
I know that using credit card to buy your ticket online is way cheaper than travel agencies but is it safe??? Secondly if i buy from online they will only charge me the airfare and tax right??? because i could safe $300 if i buy online using my credit card. How do i get the ticket if i buy from online?? WHat do you think? thanx. I dont fly much

seriously, never pay with cash. It sets off all kinds of security alerts and you will end up spending way to much time in the tank answering questions. Your credit card is fine, no problem at all and totally safe, Depending on your timing they will either send you your tickets in the mail or email you an E ticket. (That's an Electronic ticket.) Either way no worries. I do it all the time and have never had one problem. Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff.

It is better for you to buy your plane ticket online because it is always cheaper. When you buy directly from the airlines website its cheaper and there is not booking charge but if you buy it from travelocity, Orbitz and Expedia you $10.00-$15.00 for the booking charge. If you purchase the ticket over the phone using your credit card you pay an extra $10-$20 for the booking fee. When you purchase it online they give you an electronic ticket. If you dont have a printer you can write the confirmation booking reference number or when you go to the airport just tell your agent your last name. It is better to pay for your ticket using a credit card to show you have proof in case you need to dispute the charges.

Always use a credit card if possible. It gives you protection if you have problems with the airline,i.e. no record of your reservation, you can than just buy another ticket and then dispute it with the company later. If you do an e-ticket on line just print it out. If you can't note the reservation number and have them print it when you check in. Plus I get points for my credit card use.

Booking through the airline's website is probably the cheapest and definitely the safest way to book online. I fly almost 100 times a year and always book through the airline's website. It's the best way to get a ticket.

I buy mine on line about a week ago and its much cheaper, after it go through and the credit does not decline, you will get an e-ticket by email, and thats your conformation. its very easy and safe.
