I'm going to take a stab at this, k,

Everyone regardless of religion or no religion does the following:

cries
laughs
sings
dances
is happy sometimes, but sad other times
falls in love
gets a job
tries drugs
lusts
has feelings that get hurt
has a hobby
have children if they can and choose to

you get the point

I am a Christian, and I can honestly say I have my ups and downs- just because Christ has put an underlying joy in my heart, sometimes I cry, sometimes I laugh and sometimes I even get angry- I know that is going to get some kind of comment. How can Christians get angry? Christ got angry- it just depends on what we do with our anger. David in the Psalms was up one moment and down the next- however one thing remained constant was His praising God not matter his emotional state, and I pray that I can do that. I can tell you I am not jumping for joy because I have a chronic illness that causes pain 24/7- But I am jumping for joy due to the fact that God's grace is sufficient- God is big enough to handle my ups and downs , too!!

Happy all the time is a Myth. We may have a Joy most of the time. But we are human and we do most of all of the above.

I Cry
I laugh
I sing
I danced (not anymore)
I am happy
I was sad today (my son has been gone for a week and I miss him)
I fell in love ( I love it)
I have a Job (that sometimes I hate)
I tried Pot once (got to sick to ever do it again) (prechristian)
I smoke (post Christian)
I lust
I get hurt feelings (usually only from my wife and I do the same for her "this makes me sad")
I have no hobby (but I have had many)
I have three Children

Of course we are "normal" people--just like you--and we have ups and downs. That's life. We just don't try to go through life on our own. We believe God cares about every moment of our lives, and we trust Him and believe He has a plan for our lives. He will work all things out for our ultimate benefit. That doesn't mean we don't have hard times or suffer just like everyone else--we just believe there are reasons we go through the things we do, good or bad.
We also try to live according to what the Bible teaches. It does not mean we think we are perfect--we fail often. But we have an advocate who sits at God's right hand, making intercession on our behalf. He died for us and when we truly are sorry for the stupid things we do and ask for His forgiveness--He gives it. He knows we can't be perfect--it's why He came. He saved us...and desires to save everyone, if they'd only ask. Simple really.

I've cried.
I've laughed.
I sing whenever I can.
I dance when I'm alone.
I am happy most of the time. I am sad some of the time.
I have been madly in love.
I have a job. A nice one.
I've never done drugs, though, and I have no plans to.
I rather enjoy lust.
I have feelings that can be hurt.
I have lovely hobbies. Art has been good to me this year.
I have no kids.

If you prick me, I bleed. If you tickle me, I laugh. If you wrong me, I revenge myself. Right?

Oh, and I'm an atheist.

I am a Christian and I am just like everyone else with both good and bad days. I haven't tried drugs (excluding prescription when I'm sick) and I don't have children yet, but the rest of your list fits.

If anyone was happy all the time I'd like to know what they were drinking. Life is supposed to be a series of challenges. It starts with having to learn to talk and walk and progresses. We are meant to experience all sorts of emotions.

I think they think they are supposed to wait until they get to heaven before they start expressing emotions or behaviours of any kind. Otherwise, they might end up sinning and risking eternity in hellfire. And we all know the 33 year old Hebrew zombie virgin hates sin.

I'm normal. I have good days and bad days. I have days when I hate everything. I have "fat" days, (Women will get this.) even though I am a size 0-2.

I have days when I hate my job. I have days when I love it.

and on and on and on
