The Western Media has caused the west to believe in their point of view, and only giving one side of the story blinds the people viewing: that is almost everybody. The Media has forced its viewers to believe that Islam is a violent, bloody, intolerant religion, but in reality this is actually the opposite. If people would stop accepting their television sets as their teachers, more people would know the actual truth about Islam. The Media reports misleading stories, gross exaggerations, inaccurate information, and false statements about Islams and Muslims to undermine the religion, and unfortunately, this propaganda is a success--many many Americans believe everything they hear on the news or read in the newspaper. What they fail to realize is that what they read/hear is only one point of view of a bias Media that has been criticizing Muslims with false information vigorously since 9/11.

Terrorism is CONDEMNED in Islam; it is not allowed. Neither is innocent murder, or forced conversions. These are all misleading fabrications composed by the Media. You can't always believe what you hear.

Terrorists are not true Muslims; they use Islam as a mask to cover up their dirty work, and give Islam a bad name. It is not fair for the majority of Muslims, who oppose terrorism and denounce violence that is occurring. Unfortunately, the Media will never let this be known, making it look like Muslims support these radical actions, when in reality they absolutely do not.

I disagree with you on the media's portrayal of islam. According to the media, islam is peaceful except for a few radicals. If there were only a few extremists, then the terrorism by Muslims would have stopped by now since they would have all blown themselves up. The fact is there are many more Muslims that support jihad and homicide bombings than the media will ever report. Our liberal media aides the terrorists, openly suggests negotiating with these barbarians and always, ALWAYS blames President Bush and America instead of the murderers. It seems that maybe you have bought into the media propaganda, so yes the media is too powerful, corrupt and bias. Have you read the quran? It calls for terrorism.

God Bless.

I agree with you that the media is over hyped and misleading. On the other hand I think that most Americans are smart enough to realize that. Most understand that all Muslims are not going to car bomb or attack them. But, your comment about it being a peaceful religion if I remember right the exact quote most radical Muslims use is Surah 9:5 "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush." This is not a peaceful comment. And this is the charging quote of many radicals who would do us harm. Yes you are right just like many Christians many Muslims do not take every ounce of the Quran verbatim but there are many who do.

Prove, using examples, which articles are false and misleading.

I don't think it is even close to as bad as you describe, there are many excellent news sources which do their best to provide a balanced and factual news service, and saying that the media is powerful, well, yeah it is, because it is doing an important job. It's like saying the government is powerful. It doesn't need to be said. Some news services are better than others, maybe you just need to learn which ones these are.

You are right. As far as we have Fox "news" on the air, there will be those people who base their belief on those biased news.
I don't like to watch national news because they are biased. If you look at international news about USA, they you will see how things are going around. For example, other countries believed USA caused pearl harbor and 911. But here in the US people do not think the same.

Here people like to use the word "Idiot, stupid, dump, nuts, and un-American" to describe those who do not agree with the media.

We all should know, that in the developed countries, this is the one with the lowest rate of education, the highest rate of drug and crime. So, what else you expect? They believe what they are told, no what really is.

I don't agree with your the view you have on muslin, because I don't know a lot about that religion.

While the media do have a useful function often their zeal get in the way of being objective.
However it is difficult to deny the Islamic violence among themselves and the situation with the Iranian gas stations

"The Media" is not some sort of shadowy organization with an agenda. It's just a bunch of schlubs who make their living showing videos to us and smiling at the camera while they read teleprompters. If it wasn't selling well, they'd find something else to do.

"The Media" doesn't really "force" anything.

And give up with your "terrorism is condemned in Islam." No, obviously it isn't, or there wouldn't be so much of it.

Yes, the media is powerful. But you can't get around the fact that the Koran tells Muslims to kill unbelievers (slay the infidels). This is not a peaceful religion - sorry.
