If you listen to music while at work/online, then what are the last five pieces/songs you've listened to, and what is your religious affiliation or belief?

I'm an atheist, and I find that my mp3 player has some sad songs, some angry songs, some pretty songs, some weird songs, and a whole bunch of happy songs.

No it does not. Lacking religion has nothing to do with an individuals taste in music.

I don't think my beliefs have affected my musical taste. I'm the same as I've always been...mostly rock...I love pretty songs...Celtic, classical, bluegrass, I'm a bagpipes freak. One of my favorite new artists is Chris Daughtry. I think I like happy music better than angry music, just because that's how I am. But I do like some Audioslave and Nickleback angry stuff. I love some oldies and am a diehard Beatlemaniac. I love Five For Fighting, Lifehouse, Daniel Powter, The Fray, Teddy Geiger, James Blunt, KT Tunstall, Kelly Clarkson, Gomez, Hinder, Green Day, Fall Out Boys, Pink, Hoobastank, Staind, Outkast.....and more....

Im an athiest, yet I seem to be fond of particularly religious sounding songs. Probably my favorite peice of music of all time is Misere Mei by Allegri, and im also quite fond of the whole baroque era. I also have a soft spot for gospel music (Amazing Grace). Anyway, i suppose this is more unique in its not being modern rather than its spiritual preferences. I guess its a side effect of being a classically trained pianist, as well as reading a lot more literature and non fiction written before 1700 than after. but its an interesting question, because although im an athiest, it sure does seem like the greatest music is inspired by religion!

I am atheist and I have a pretty eclectic musical taste. I like country, rap, r & b, hip-hop, rock, alternative, pop, 80s, 90s, etc. (a little bit of everything). What I listen to completely depends on my mood. Maroon 5 is my favorite musical group and I'm pretty partial to country (I think that has more to do with the fact that I am born and raised in North Carolina). When I'm angry I love to listen to rock. When I'm sad I like to listen to upbeat music, usually pop. When I'm emotional I like r & b.

I don't think my lack of religion really affects my musical tastes. There are a lot of country songs I like that may mention God or Jesus but that doesn't make me dislike them. The only way in which my lack of religion affects my musical tastes is that I can't stand Christian music. Then again, I couldn't stand Christian music even when I did consider myself a Christian.

I listen to everything, ranging from classical all the way to rap(I prefer the censored versions though). The only music that generally loses my interest is country, although I have come across a few country songs I like.
Music preference doesn't really have anything to do with beliefs usually.

Believe it or not, the last piece of music I listened to was the soundtrack from the 1973 version of Jesus Christ Superstar. So ironic, because I am an atheist.

I listen to just about anything, but I really can't stand country music. I prefer classical, opera, and showtunes.

i am Christian, and my taste in music (other than censoring really wicked lyrics) is: for the most part, the same as yours.

I have sad songs, angry songs, pretty songs, weird songs, a whole bunch of happy songs, even some 'question' songs....

I think the point is: Music depends on "mood", not faith.

God bless.

I'm an atheist, and the last five songs I've listened to are: "Somnambulist (Simply Being Loved)" by BT; "First Day" by Timo Maas; "Kiss" by Prince; "Push Up" by the Freestylers; and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk.
Seems I go for the upbeat stuff, too. Kizmet!

I was just listening to a Swedish Hip Hop group. I listen to all kinds of music, with the exceptions of most jazz, and christian music. I didn't like Christian music as a child either.

I don't even know what I classify myself as anymore.
