i have never taken morphine in my life , when i drug tested for a potential job last week it came up positive for morphine. is there any way to challenge this? i feel like my name has been runined i have never been so humiliated.

You should know that this is a common result if you have recently eaten poppy seeds (within a few days, I think). Opioid drugs like heroin, opium and morphine are derived from poppies, and poppy seeds contain a small amount of drug analogs which can result in you testing positive. This is probably THE MOST common reason for testing positive for morphine on a drug test, since far more people eat poppy-seed bagels than take opioid drugs. I would suggest this possibility and get retested.

Ask for an immediate retest. Have your doctor do blood work and urinalysis, too. The sooner the better to prove you had no morphine in your system.

yes you can,maybe there is some mixed up somewhere,or maybe you've been to dental clinic to do some tooth job,you have a prescription pills for pain.Cheer-up things happens,go back to the clinic and ask for retest.

yes you can retest but youll have to pay for it yourself. if the test comes up clean in most cases the employer has to reimburse you for the expense.

Why would you want to , how did it effect you ? did you not get a job or smoething along those lines ?
