And do you think policiticans, even well-meaning ones, don't give enough thought to their own families?

No, I don't think this will have any effect on Gore's global warming campaign because it had nothing to do with the environment, except that he was driving a hybrid really fast. Gore's kid is his own person and can take responsibility for his own actions.

I don't think it's fair to make a sweeping generalization about politicians or even make a judgement of Al Gore based on this incident. There are plenty of good parents whose kids grow up and make mistakes. Maybe Gore didn't spend enough time with his kid, or maybe he was a great parent and his kid got some bad influences elsewhere. Who knows?

It may hurt it cause everyone had the idea that Al Gore II was a perfect person, fighting for the right reasons and everything , unlike other politicians, and now we know that he can't even control his son so how about a serious global warming problem, maybe he did fight for the wrong reasons after all.

No but it is great publicity for the Toyota Prius.

How much do you want to bet the advertisers for Toyota are already preparing an advertising campaign starring Al Gore III

No. Al Gore is human. Come on, at least he's helping his son with support during this. George senior had all the charges on George W years ago when he was arrested for being intoxicated with possession of coke. Nobody cares about that.

I remember when they all made a big deal out of
Jeb Bush's daughter. It may hurt him some but
sometimes I think both parties are so wrapped
up in what they are doing, they forget about
their own families until something happens.
They then get on the news and act the supportive
person.
Sad but true.

No. Al Gore III is an addict as a results of fact his dad is one too....you comprehend... "like father like son". Al Gore Jr. invented international warming (purely like he did the internet) as a effect of drug use.

No, he was driving 100 mph in a prius, I think sales of hybrid prius' cars will go up now that we know it can go fast, though. What was he doing that was so bad to the enviroment that our view of Mr. Gore would be diminished anyway.

Lol. Elaine, I haven't the slightest idea. I just wanted to say that I appreciate all of your answers. I'm writing a book and trying cleverly to get ideas for character traits, costumes, plot twists, etc without actually asking for them. =-)
