When you go to the doctor, ask to have your eyes checked first. You may have pressure on your optic nerve that is causing the pain.
Next ask for a test for your neck to see if you have a nerve that is pinched. If you have been at your desk on the computer for long periods of time in the same position, it could be the start of carpal tunnel in your neck with pressure on the optic nerve. (If that's the case, you'll need to get off the computer for a while. Sorry :(
But carpal tunnel and optic nerve pressure can cause a headache over time. Go to your doctor and check it out.
If it takes a while to get an appointment:
1. Reduce or limit your computer time to just long enough to deal with your e-mail, then quit for the rest of the day and do something else.
2. If your job requires you to be on the computer for long periods of time, get your doctor's diagnosis, go to human resources and ask for a temporary reassignment to a different task, like sorting mail or helping clear out paperwork for a couple of weeks.
3. Reduce your coffee and caffeine intake for a month, and switch to fruit juice or tea to help cleanse your system and recharge your health. Good health will help reduce pain.
This website is good to help reduce eye damage from being on the computer too long:
http://www.doctoryourself.com/eye_exercises.html
You can also get into the habit of stretching your neck, shoulders, and back every 30 minutes or so while working on your computer.
Good luck. Hope this helps.

I would seriously see a doctor as to the cause. Pain of any kind is a sign from the body that something is wrong. And headaches, although there are many varied causes, are especially suspect. I had a migraine type headached the day before Memorial Day and just kind of put it out of my head. But the next day after taking a shower and drying my hair, I saw a purple mark on the right side of my head. I didn't like the way that it looked, so I went to the emergency room.
It was a good thing I did because it was discovered that I had a rare vascular disease that has spread to my brain. I was immediately started on high doses of steroids which may have well saved my life for now. Please don't mess with headaches. See your doctor and find out the cause.

First Call your Doctor!
It may be allergies or a sinus infection that isn't causing congestion...but why guess go see the doctor and confirm it one way or another.
I also used to get severe headaches (migraines)
I cut out caffeine except 1/2 calf in the morning
My doctor also prescribe beta blockers
It is not good to be taking Ibuprofen for long periods of time without something like Pepcid or Omeprozol (prescribed) to protect your stomach!
Hope you feel better!

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

It could be a tension headache. Or even a migraine. If you start to see dots in your vision then that could be a cluster headache. You might want to see a neurologists so that you can get a head scan.
