I have read and heard a lot of citizens complaining about the horrors of police brutality.
How many of you who are sickend by these acts against humanity have actually witnessed it?
How many have heard about it on the news?
How many know someone who has been brutalized and/or bullied by supposed law enforcement?

I pesonally have witnessed the police beating a man and his teenage daughter.
I am ashamed to admit that I was scared.
Yes, it is true that getting involved in the actual beating is not a good idea and I would never recommend anyone trying to interfere with a cop doing anything since it will only get you hurt and take away from what you can do.
File a report, yeah they do retaliate but like so many of us have said...
What else can we do?
In instances where the police are out of control we need to ban together to make a difference and in the end all that will be left on the force is the good, honest and caring individuals that truly want to make a difference in their communities.
All the rest of the a**holes will be in jail with the rest of the criminals.
Not hiding behind their badges making otherwise decent cops into villians.

Saw it starting. Told them to knock it off or I'd kick their ***, if not now, later. But they knew me and my meaning. It ended there.

I have witnessed policw brutality numerous times. Do yourself a favor and try to be invisable in a crowd. Trust no one but yourself and God. Police are human and have the same 7 sin's in their souls as does everyone.
I myself am trying to get out of the big towns and into a forest that has the only truly good things on earth, animals.
They are better than humans in the fact they take care of their own, and if they kill, it is always for a reason. People don't have to have a reason. Read your bible, it will tell you what is coming. Just follow what you think is good and pray. There is nothing you or anyone else can do about it, so just try to stay away from humans, even if they are in politic's, minister's. school teachers. The future is going to get darker and gloomier, so prepare.

I was very politically active during the 60's. I saw plenty of brutality. Too many to mention. Things have improved since those bad old days but not completely. I once saw a cop apply the "sleeper hold" to a priest. I tried to interfere and they beat the snot out of me with night sticks. Be careful if you do try to help.

I am sure it goes on. I have never seen it. As a citizen that cares what goes on in my community, if I had witnessed any of these actions I would report it. Now, who do you report it to? Cops stick together!!! You have to be careful in how you report it and to who. You may end up to be the target of an angry cop.

I have never personally witnessed it, but I have seen incidents of it on video, usually in the news and occasionally in a tv show or documentary.
I am not aware of it happening to anyone I know.
It makes me sick that it happens. It always makes me sick when people brutalize one another under any circumstances.

there's really nothing that can be done about it.
my dad owns a designer wear store and on a busy monday night it was robbed. basically what happenned was that two guys in balaclava's used tools to open all the fencing etc. that was used to protect the store at night, it took them a good couple of hours and then they went in and emptied the shop and walked. it was really that simple.
but the whole time they were doing this, the police just sat round the corning watching because they were too scared to do anything as we were informed.
it's terrible, it's there job to bang up criminals they could have called for back up as well. if there too scared then they should get a different job.

To answer your three questions:

1) While I do not condone police brutality, I am not "sickened" by it, and I have never witnessed it, and therefore I've had no reason to do anything about it.

2) Yes, I've heard about it in the media.

3) I don't know anyone who was a victim of it.

If you comply with the instructions given to you by a police officer, you'll never have to worry about it.

Sure, saw a lot of it growing up. Mostly we ran. Once, we punched out a cop who badly needed it. Once we torched a cop car. I recommend trying to stay out of their way.
