I'm 13 almost 14 and I'm 4' 11.75" and i have fat on my theighs.. haha.. and I wanna get taller and I want to get the fat off... is there any way I can get either one of them without pills?

-Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday.

-Cut down on the calories, carbs, fats, and sugars you consume.

-Try to eat more fiber, protein, and have some wheat too.

-Try doing some pushups, because the more muscle you have the more calories your body burns.

-You HAVE to cut down on all the junk food you eat. I know it's hard, but atleast try to cut back somewhat. If you feel like you are hungry try to have some water, but buy some light butter popcorn to snack on if you get hungry.

-Eat more fruits and vegetables. Try to eat an apple and banana a day.

Height is predetermined. Eating veggies and drinking milk--in general eating helathy--will help you grow. Also a huge part in looking taller is good posture. Stand up straight.

Also it is important to eat healthy b/c being in shape makes you look taller as well. Being overweight makes you look more circular and less long and lean.

But height is genetic and therefore nothing you can do will make you taller. As far as your thighs, are you really fat or do you have large thighs? If you thighs are genetically designed to be larger--it is the same with having a large bust or being pear shaped--there is nothing you can do.

If you legs really are fat and flabby--the quads and hamstrings are very active muscles. First off, cardio is the best way to lose weight and you should be doing 30 min a day of cardio.

Lunges and Squats will really work your quads. Also yoga will really work your hamstrings, help stretch them out and allow you greater flexibility. Cardio like biking and stair step and eliptical really work the thighs and calves.

Participating in a sport--soccer, tennis, softball--whatever interests you is a great way to stay in shape for your whole life. Never take pills. Pills will stunt your growth, they are not heathy for someone your age, and most of them do not work and are a scam.

This is the age to be creating a lifestyle--not a diet. Figure out a healthy lifestyle that you enjoy and you will be able to maintain it your whole life.
