Ezekiel tells us that Satan was created of the highest order of angels, perhaps a cherub in charge of guarding the holiness of God. He was sealed with perfection until unrighteousness was found in him. He was thrown to earth from heaven, taking a third of the angels with him. All of this happened between the moment of creation and before the temptation on the 6th day, for Satan was a created being too.
Personally, I think Satan is the great deceiver. He will look like goodness and righteousness untill you get too close. He will be the rationalization to get your way. He will be the love of money and a big house at the expense of time with your children. He will be what seems normal to others, but is truly against God. He will advocate tolerance rather than patience and long-suffering. The deceptions go on and on.

No.1 = Devil is not an Angle, he is Genie.
No. 2 = Who said that he is red with horns? That picture is not true, because humans couldn't see Genies, just some prophets could, and they didn't tell us that they are red or have horns.

Well depending on where you look he isn't you see. The Christian image seems to be connected to the old greco-roman god, Pan. If you look at the image, Pan is a horned god with horns and definitely one for the ladies. This sort of thing did not go down well with the early Christian church. It was common practice to subvert images for their own purposes and hence poor old 'likes a drink and bit of female company' Pan becomes the horned devil. Incidently the red colour is more to do with theatre where red devil seemed more dramatic.

The Devil is a spirit and has no actual appearance. The horns and redness are symbols: the horns are his aggression and will to harm humanity and to "gore God" by his rebellion and the redness goes along with the symbol of the fires of Hell.
Satan ,who was an angel ,fell by rebelling agiant God and rejecting Him and His Goodness and rule.

As for "halo" vs "horns", the Challoner Doauy bible says Moses had "horns" (of light) emanating from his face (Exo 34:35): http://www.drbo.org/chapter/02034.htm. This is because of it's source, the Vulgate of Jerome, which also used the word "horns". Thus, for centuries (including Michelangelo's time) the primary (sometimes only) bible version in use read something like "And they saw that the face of Moses when he came out was horned, " - meaning, of course, horns or beams of light.

This is a goofy question.
But I will tell you this. The word for "horns" and the word for "halo" were often mistranslated from ancients texts. There's a famous Michelangelo sculture of Moses, and he has horns.
Man invented the red dude (Sometimes he's portayed as blue) mostly as a scary image to aid people who can't read.
I'll let everybody else chime in on why he "fell"

I was trying to find the scripture online, but he was basically band from heaven because he thought he was higher than God and him and his followers were thrown out. That's why there is the devil and his demons. He was distorted when he fell from heaven, which means he was changed into a horrible creature after he had sinned against God. At first he was a beautiful angel but when he fell that changed his appearance.

he fell because he tried to become like God and be the ruler of heaven and when he was cast out of heaven a third of the angels went with him, those that he persuaded to his cause. The depiction of horns and redness comes from way back in the day when preachers tried getting more ppl to attend church. hope that helps have a good day and God bless:-))))

He fell because i think he was jealous of God. Thats what i learned from church. But he doesnt actually have red horns! Thats just how they portrayed him in Medieval times.... they had to make him look real scary so it would scare people from Hell...

he was created very beautiful..in fact he was the most beautiful angel. that is why so many ppl miss him when he comes..they are looking for something that is so obviously wicked that they miss the suitableness of satan. the Bible says that he comes as and "angel of light" to some. it's like smoking..when you start it is "fun" and you "feel" good...twenty years down the road is another story...you're hooked and can't stop...then you are sick and satan is laughing his *** off at your expense.
he fell because he tried to exalt himself above G_D
read the Book of Genesis
