Ok, well my friend came over for a little while. And she wanted to wax her upper lip, so I helped her. But we didn't pull the wax strip off fast enough. And now there's wax stuck on her upper lip. We tried to rub it with a cloth with hot water... then we tried cold water, then soap... and the dumb wax just isn't coming off!!
What do we do??
thank you

wow, before I start lecturing you. DON'T HEAT IT BACK UP!!! please
freeze it, like it's bubble gum, (it becomes hard and not sticky)
but really cold, then everything will detract, and become smaller and you'll be able to slowly peel it off, without it hurting so much for you friend.

You want to heat it back up with a hair dryer and then put the paper strip back on...the wax kit should have come with some little strips that have this dissolving oil on them....that would be the best way!! Next time make sure you get the kind with the wax remover strips too!! It gets all the wax off and it has a soothing ingredient or something for when you're all done.

there are a few options here 1. baby oil or olive oil could help lightly apply product to a paper towel and dab on the left over wax trying gently to work it out dont rub vigoursly has this may cause redness and discomfort 2. you can try heating it up slightly with a blow dryer and reapply a removal cloth and pull the remainig wax off quickly this is what i usually do with left over wax i am a licensed esthetcian and while waxing clients you may not get all the wax off with the first cloth i usually immediatly put another cloth and quickly remove however since you have had it on there for a while and it has cooled in order to use this methond you will need to reheat the wax i dont particuallry recomend this method for you but it would be quicker than trying to work out the wax with baby oil

hmm. let see
"Scrubbing, washing, scratching and scraping won't do it. Well, you'll be happy to know that if you've got a candle wax stain on your carpet, all you need is an iron and a couple of paper towels." http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/remove-candle-wax.html
NOOOOO!! that is for a carpet...
"To remove excess wax on skin use a body oil do not try to remove wax with hot water. Also consider a sugaring kit like Moom Sugar. Sugar washes off much easier than wax."

Good Luck.

there is a product called "wax off" that is made for this problem. you need to get it because the only other way is to heat it back up and that could hurt. water makes it worse cause it cools it faster and makes it hard again. you can get wax off at sallys beauty supply or any other beauty supply store

Haha. Uh nothing big. You should probibly ask an adult to help you with the situation -- and dont wax your lip...
