For someone with a bachelor's in environmental engineering...can one get a job basically anywhere?

This is just my gut feeling, but I would say that the demand should continue to increase. EPA regulations aren't getting more relaxed and the regulations themselves get more complicated. So, I would say that there is a good demand for someone familiar with the regulations and how to comply with them.

This of course assumes that there is still industry here for you to work for as opposed to it all going overseas where there is not environmental protection.

No idea on the salary, although Salary.com and Yahoo Hot Jobs have a salary calculator by location and career. Should be a rough approximation.

Job prospects are very good right now and probably will be for quite a while. The money is pretty good, but not as good as some other branches of engineering (chemical, electrical etc) because you can get into environmental work with lots of different degrees (geology, chemical engineering, civil engineering, chemistry, biology, etc).
