Your question is poorly worded and hard to parse as a result.

What exactly are you trying to ask?

There were STDs long before the discovery of AIDS. Disease like gonorrhea and syphilis can be traced back as far as historical records go. Even the Bible includes a ritual by which a priest could check for certain STDs.

AIDs was not discovered until the 1980's. Whether there have been incidences of AIDs prior to that and no one knew what it was is still being debated.

I am not sure what you think the link between polygamy and STDs is. An STD can only be spread by having "relations" with an infected person. If you have several people in a polygamous relationship, and none of them is infected, then they will not develop an STD. If you have two people in a monogamous relationship and one is infected, it will spread to the other.

I'm guessing English may not be your native language. Even so, your question makes no sense. What does polygamy and Islam have to do with STD's. Not sure where you are getting your info from, but STD's were around long before the 80's. One could argue that polygamy decreases the chance of STD's because there is less reason to cheat. However one could also argue that a man who does cheat in that situation ( and some still do) risks infecting more people.

Um, dearie, AIDS is not the only STD. STD's have existed for as long as people have been having sex. Polygamy has nothing to do with STD's unless one spouse is passing along clamyghonosyphilAIDS to all of his wives. Are you saying that since AIDS wasn't recognized until the 80's, that it didn't exist until then? And if so, what are you suggesting caused the existance of AIDS?

.......... Did you really ask that?

They already knew about STD's. Heck, you remember Jack the Ripper? One of the suspects was Prince Albert Victor who had Syphilis. And this was 1888.

Oh, they most definately have known about STD's for a very long time.

But AIDS is a very complicated disease and science is still fairly new to the world. Scientists admit they still don't know everything there is to know, even if the religious think we should know everything.

And frankly, what does Islam have to do with it?

I'm sorry, but what the heck does polygamy, STD's and AIDs, supposed to have in common.

I do not see a connection. Since all parties involved would have had to come into the relationship as virgins, or chaste.

So please outline your logic, because I am not following it at all.

I think you can get STDs from camels. jokes asides, if i rmmbr correctly AIDS was first discovered in the gay community of san francisco therefor was a bit hard to spread into the large islam population. plus...aids wasnt here always..it was formed because of a mutation in a virus its not like it just Appreared out of nothing suddenly all over the globe.

How do you know there were no STD's or AIDS, did you gather samples and do the tests yourself?

A person having an STD or AIDS and admitting to it are two different things. Everyone lies.

You're suggesting that Muslims don't get STDs? You're suggesting that AIDS is the only STD? No offense but you're wrong on both counts.

having more than 1 wives is not a cause of STD'S .....
but having an immuno compromise person ( i.e having ADIS ) partner is the main cause of it ...in west it is most common . due to the BOY FRND-Gurl frnd relationship .... in west a 9yr old is also pregnant due to having SUM relations with stranger boys ..... how'd u know that is ur RECENT boyfrnd is normal ... or is he immuno compromise ..!!!!!!!! AIDS strike to mostly homosexual ppl ... n when these ppl bcum partners of others ... then AIDS is transmitted from 1 carrier to an other person !!!!!
in islam there is no concept of homosexuals or even having sex b4 ur marriage ..!!!!!

HIV may be fairly new to the scene but gonorrhea, syphilis, etc have been around for centuries.

By the way, AIDS isn't an STD, it's the result of prolonged symptoms of HIV. Just thought I'd let you know that.
